Kimberly Guilfoyle eventually had to ask her audience at the Florida Republican Party annual dinner to clap for her as her awkward speech fell flat in front of an audience of allies.

It was a moment reminiscent of Jeb Bush’s “please clap” moment during the 2016 campaign.

Guilfoyle, the fiancée of Donald Trump Jr, was speaking at the dinner in Hollywood, Florida when she shared her hope that Democrats would lose seats in Congress and be forced to give up control of the White House.

Newsome took her seriously enough to date, but doesn't take homelessness seriously.

This thumbnail looks like it’s from an episode of the original V miniseries.

How long does it take to plan a fucking wedding? Hasn't she been Junior's fiancée for ages?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Can't save for a wedding when you're blowing all your money.

Of the many things to call out, this is pretty bottom.

Call her out on how even Fox News fired her for sexual harassment. Call her out on her low energy/limited charisma speeches. Call her out on how she gets to watch her ex-husband Gavin Newsom continue to get the press while Donny Jr can't get his dad to recognize him.

But point out their wedding planning timeline? Bruh that's weird.

Just to add some context from memory. Jeb was doing an event to rally his supporters but everyone was so hyped up they kept interrupting him during his speech. He politely asked them to save the clapping till the end. When he finally finished no one reacted so he had to tell them to clap.

That's some really neat context. I wasn't overly concerned with Jeb at the time, since I had no interest in any of the R candidates, but the 'please clap :(' sure did the rounds.

I can see now, though, that Kamala Harris was certainly aware and trying to not hit the same landmine during the DNC. Watching her try to politely tell the crowd to shut up for what felt like an hour got quite painful.

Crowds: You need to let your speakers speak!

Don’t you mean Jeb!

Are we sure this isn't a Tim and Eric bit?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Doesn't she have enough clap already?

Evil villain Kim Gothica forces audience to have the clap.

What's hilarious is that she is delivering this speech like it's a rally. It's a fucking dinner, everyone's busy eating. Tone it down and read the room

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If I ever happen to be at dinner and someone is yammering on, and then says “please clap”, I’m standing up and loudly saying

no

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Do it with your mouth full!

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 month ago

Seriously the proper move is to tone it down a bit and stop holding for applause so you don't look like an idiot. She just kept doubling down and trying to go full rally on it. Probably difficult to tone it down with all the coke.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago

That's some real JEB! energy right there.

🤣

If she wanted to be more popular, maybe she shouldn’t hog all the coke

These people should be glad they have no feelings of shame or embarrassment. It's the only way I can imagine they manage to live day to day.
