Fox News reports that Donald Trump may consider using nuclear weapons to eliminate Iran’s Fordo nuclear facility

The U.S. military has reservations regarding the success of using a bunker-buster bomb, a non nuclear weapon, to eliminate Iran’s Fordo nuclear facility, buried deep in a mountain. Two defense officials were reportedly briefed that only a tactical nuclear weapon could reach the facility.

Trump says: “nothing is off the table”

Fox News: Perfect Clickbait lets claim considering nukes

The New Republic for some reason: Yes lets repost fox news clickbait

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Sure but by definition if nothing is off the table how does that not include nuclear weapons?

Reminds me of his previous term talking about nuking the hurricane.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Shame it was an empty threat; these hurricanes won't learn otherwise.

This is a non-story. They think a bunker buster will work now.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Please let this be a time he listens to someone sane.

I voted for Trump because he's the PRO PEACE President!

Bigly so. Big guy crying. Big big. Big guy. Bigly yes.

Gleefully sounding the trumpet for the end of the world

Can somebody please please stop him before he kills us all?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

None of his Cabinet will. All of them have been chosen mostly to make sure they don't get in his way when his Wormtongue gives him ideas.

That surely won't lead to horrible outcomes.

Helpful guide for spur of the moment vacation destinations.

Why the hell is Syracuse a civilian target? There's nothing there anymore.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

I can't say, not my map, I dunno anything about Syracuse beyond the wiki page.

Which does say its over half a million people in the metro area... Rapid City, South Dakota only has under a 100k, and it gets a nuke.

Could be as simple as: Its got enough people, its a transit crossroads, its far away enough from other larger metros that it gets its own miniature sun, because the one(s) hitting NYC won't reach that far.

As a life long new jersey citizen I'm glad someone finally finds us important.

Hey, when we rebuild society in 200 years, we can just formally declare the entire state, every square foot of it, to be a superfund site, lol!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

He might want to reconsider that given that his gutting of DEI programs cut funding to the company that makes urchins and the US is currently unable to make any new nuclear weapons

Trump has been itching to be the second person in history to nuke a population. He doesn't realize what it means because he's a complete fucking idiot.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No, he knows. I don't think he cares, because they're not him. You fail to understand the mind of a narcissist - other people are not people, and the ones who actively say that they dislike you or what you stand for might as well be ants on the sidewalk for all the thought you give about them, ever.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

I mostly agree but he seems to be absolutely obsessed with people who don't like him

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

He's a psychopath, he has no empathy. He doesn't care at all.
