Yeah you gotta remember we have a doofus as president and a guy who doesn't believe in germs as head of health...

Just send it on a boat and do grass root promotions locally. Don't give up!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

This requires money to pay for the drugs in the first place

Why would we do anything remotely good under this admin?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Guaran-fucking-tee you — if this administration lifts a finger in the middle of looting the country, it's to do some evil shit. Literally worse than comic book villains. I don't know that I'll ever again take villains who "kinda have a point" seriously in movies again.

No. Real villains are Snidely Whiplash, cackling and twirling their ridiculous hair as they throw women and children onto train tracks for literally no gain of their own.

Trump and his adminstration really are pulling out the classic Republican playbooks.

The classic pull out game.

Fred: "We can protect ourselves" Terry: "nah we'll just raw dog it." Fred: "we just pushed no protection pertaining to sex because we wanted higher birthrates, this will cause more deaths without protections, it's a medical issue.." Kennedy: Let's have HIV parties so everyone can build strong immunities.

Which is really wild to say because I am pretty sure George W. Bush had a big hand in these programs. One of the few positives to come out of his administration.

Don't worry, I was assured that elections don't matter because of The Duopoly(tm).

I have nothing of value to add, but this is slightly amusing. I promise I’m not all 51 of your votes for this comment.

A screenshot showing PugJesus at 51 upvotes for the comment, and the Voyager App upvote counter showing this account has upvoted them 51 times.

I have been assured that Harris would be doing the exact same thing.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 days ago

Literally no difference between the two. None whatsoever. She’d be doing all the same stuff, for sure. That’s what The Duopoly™️ posters have told me, so it must be true.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Literally no difference in fact.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago

Oh thank goodness. Otherwise this would really suck!

The pharmaceutical industry in America wouldn’t want to help eradicate HIV in other countries while simultaneously charging many people for the monthly drugs on their own soil. They don’t want to cure anybody when they can get a new monthly subscriber to their overinflated drug prices.

PEPFAR was targeted by Musk because he is a racist asshole who didn't want money going to help black Africans.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That's why it was a government program. Government doesn't need to put profit first

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Right up until the pharmaceutical industries buy the government
