Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!
Rules:
- Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.
Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

free speech gym.
companies have the right to advertise wherever they choose to advertise. platforms for advertising are not guaranteed advertisers.
not unless you want to force them to advertise on platforms they don't want to be on. but that would no longer be capitalism, what would that be? I can't think of it it's right at the tip of my tongue...
I swear Gym Jordan is like a caricature of a caricature.
Jim Jordan is mentally retarded and should not have more power than the ability to use a can opener.
I'm not confident he could use a can opener tbh
Because if your company advertises to a site which caters to Nazis, you’re a Nazi company.
Gym, who did nothing to help the young men that were raped in his state - when he had the position to do so.
Supply and Demand:
The Truth Social supplies a product that has little to no demand.
Nazis maybe?
No one wants their products to be associated with Truth Social's clientele.
To Jim Jordan:
Go fash, no cash.
Signed,
The major ad companies
None of the companies want to “censor conservative” views. It’s just that, in the current moment, more conservatives believe in nonsense and conspiracy theories, in part due to efforts by nonsense peddlers like Jim Jordan.
This is my favorite quote.
You know what is a terrifying thought? If media companies thought they could make more money peddling lies and conspiracy theories, they absolutely would. Truth only gets published because it is currently more valuable than lies.
He must have been one of those super bratty kids who refused to do anything they didn’t want to and screamed as loud as they could in the supermarket.
And whined particularly loudly when Mom got in a longer line on purpose, just to go down the aisle with books instead of candy
Jim Jordan, a member of the so-called "free market" and "small government" party, is using his platform and power to demand why companies are not patronizing his favorite social media company.
Jim Jordan showing his masters what a good boy he is.
A republican being a hypocrite?
Gasp!
Next thing you’ll tell me is that he’s a lying rape-enabler!
O boy do I have news for you
They could start running ads about how he helped protect a child molester.
I wonder if ads like that would make it on truth social? I’d imagine they wouldn’t be up long, but also understand the dilemma between advertising to the morons, and supporting Donny’s scam.
Someone bought a ton of shares and is now in a doom cycle!!
Great job, Gym!
Probably his rich backers are the ones heavily ~~laundered~~ invested in that shit-show.
Does he really not know? What a fucking idiot.
I wonder how much his election campaign spends there.
The companies should buy an ad spot on WaPo or whatever saying no client wants to be associated with all the bullshit on that far right shit hole site.
Nah, the best way is to blackhole it. Ignore it even exists and it will crash and burn into obscurity.
They just went public, aren't looking too great, and now they want what is essentially attestations of their resemblance to a dumpster fire.
He should definitely subpoena them😂😆
Jim is a fucking clown 🤡
Congress is an entirely unserious entity because of members like him.
Nah they could just invoke the Jordan Rule -- subpoenas don't have to be followed if the following House doesn't want to enforce them.
Dude's lifelong dream has been to become chairman of the House Un-American Activities Committee.
