What's the occasion? (For the fancy stretch truck? Maybe it's spring prom.)
This is crabapple tree erasure
“Hell is real” is a year-round thing.
Ah yes the east coast becomes Japan in spring (jk)
DC is full of Cherry Blossom trees
Man not just DC but Philadelphia and Newark and Connecticut have more trees and also do a great job of being spring beauties by gift of the Japanese cities as thanks.
oh i thought it was japanese only thing mb
They were gifted to the US by Japan years ago which led to the DC Cherry Blossom Festival. The Nationals (MLB team) have cherry blossoms on the City Connect version of their jerseys.
That is it for my ted talk.
Oh makes sense I think I have heard something like this before
Much to the chagrin of little Georgie Washington
Spring in the west coast (on a cloudy day)

Los Lobos in Monterey Bay

Very pretty in the spring summer
I went on a cloudy day so the colors are muted but here's an example from the internet of the same location (china cove) on a sunnier day
You mean spring in Naboo?
Well it did rain most of last week in the NCR
Makes you wish for nuclear winter
> be me. Business trip to Texas fml
> get some shitty subcompact rental car
> try to drive to some state park on weekend
> the location? About 3 hours driving away
> the cell tower reception? KEKW
> the road? On a 20 foot raised ridge for some texan fucking reason
> the wind? 42069 mph, perpendicular to the road
> literally turning the steering wheel against the wind to maintain driving straight
> literally feel like I'm going to get blown off the road and die
> in Texas so actually do want to die
> wish I was in a big truck for the first time in my life
> after hours of white knuckle driving finally get there
> Amarillo texas, the biggest pile of shit I've ever seen in my life
> literally. Active mountain of cow shit being farmed and sold as fertilizer right next to the town
Texas. Not even once.
wish I was in a big truck for the first time in my life
FYI, big trucks are even worse for being blown around by the wind. The increased weight does not make up for the increased windage.
It's not that significant of an increase in weight unloaded, it has more surface area, like you said, and also that surface and center of mass is higher, so there's more torque from the wind and it's easier to tip over. Yeah, really not good for wind. The best option would be the smallest possible electric car probably, or maybe a truck carrying a load of sand or something dense.
Huh. I always thought the big trucks would do better in the wind, and I've never questioned that assumption. TIL
Yeah well, you don't want to be behind a Smart Car's wheel when it's windy
Can confirm. I'm an EMT and our ambulances get thrown around in a stiff breeze while my dinky shit box only starts getting squirrely when there's a tropical storm
I believe that is precisely the reason they said it.
I live in Oklahoma. Everything this man says is true. Real shithole, this part of the country. That and the shit schools are what make the houses so cheap.
If you live in Moore, don't blink. You might miss the tornado sweeping your house away. Again.
Spring in the Blue Ridge taken yesterday :)
Reminds me of the view from Brasstown Bald, but I don't think it is.
No, this is called Beauty Spot AFAIK. I'm not sure of any other name for it and I've lived here 20+ years
A view is a view, though, and I'm sure yours was majestic too!
You know it's strange to me how the US has a Midwest but there's no middle.
Middle of the western expansion from the eastern colonies.
Because New York and DC think they run the rest of the country.
Midwest got its name because at one point it was very hard to get past the Rocky, Cascadia, and Coastal mountain ranges that each span from Canada to Mexico. So the Midwest was sort of the middle point between the East Coast and the Rockies.
The whole continent is the west and the midwest is in the middle of it.
Nah, too logical. I prefer the explaination that the USA just doesn't have a center.
Yeah, that tracks.
- the Overton window, probably
And the middle east is on another continent entirely
It’s there, it’s a giant cornhole, if you approach too close the force of ennui will pull you in and prevent you from escaping
Can confirm, the cost of living is too low, and the ground is too flat. I can't get out.
