You know it's strange to me how the US has a Midwest but there's no middle.
Middle of the western expansion from the eastern colonies.
Because New York and DC think they run the rest of the country.
Midwest got its name because at one point it was very hard to get past the Rocky, Cascadia, and Coastal mountain ranges that each span from Canada to Mexico. So the Midwest was sort of the middle point between the East Coast and the Rockies.
The whole continent is the west and the midwest is in the middle of it.
Nah, too logical. I prefer the explaination that the USA just doesn't have a center.
