I see quite a bit of humanity in many answers. Keep in mind a sample of people who choose to hang out here instead out there in the rat races (e.g. the Big R)
We’re just a bunch of nerds. There’s vegans, there’s ketos, there’s FBI agents, boys and girls, gentels and ladymen, one guy‘s called Larry. Just post stuff and contribute.
I think Lemmys userbase has to grow more, it is mostly turbo nerds right now (no offense, I am one of them), then it will be easier to find people you click with. I have made the experience that humor is often misinterpreted or misunderstood or that a lot of statements are taken as attacks. Some responses here kind of prove you right.

Edit: nvm, OP posts indicate they expect more diversity of political opinions, which might mean they're actually looking for Truth Social instead of Lemmy.

Well, Truth Social only has one opinion, but it's different from all the opinions available here.
Really only on which hole the user prefers Trump in, but it is quite the outspoken debate! haha
I don't know, I didn't have such issues, all my interactions were quite humane, though I met a couple of very rude people.
Probably due to AI or Autism.
No shame on my autistic friends, that's just how it translates sometimes.
