Yeah! Just because a racist, fascist douchebag does a seig heil doesn't mean you should tell obvious big mean old lies about him being a Nazi!

You tell those woke mind virus victims, Joe!

Dont trust our lying eyes, eh?

I still can't for the life of me figure out why anyone gives a shit about what Joe Rogan says. We need to stop giving monumentally stupid people such large platforms.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 2 days ago

I can't either, but he helped swing the election.

So, this whole dynamic is very simple: If you’re defending a Nazi, you’re a Nazi.

The sad part of that analogy is, eventually, there is a wolf.

  • Nazis exist.
  • People have overused the term to its detriment.
  • So when real Nazis appear, they can no longer be recognized.

The parable works for both groups: those who call foul in bad faith or too much & those that don’t listen to legitimate warnings. Both groups make mistakes in the end. The boy and the town lose their collective sheep to wolves.

I don’t know what evidence these people would need to see in order to have their world view challenged. I feel like if Musk was at a Nazi rally while talking about how apartheid benefited his family, people would still find a delusional way to not see what is so obvious.

The only advice I ever took seriously from Joe Rogan was when he was still just doing comedy on stage and literally said "I am an idiot. Nobody should listen to me."

And does Nazi salutes in public. And supports "Tommy Robinson", leader of the UK's stupidest far-right thugs. And was praised by his own father for returning to his Nazi roots.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Why do people waste their time with this boneheaded enabler?

When your podcast accepts Nazis on your show ... your show is Nazi propaganda

[–] [email protected] 38 points 2 days ago

More accurately, when your podcast accepts nazi's on your show... and you let them go off on rants and you don't push back on them... your show is nazi propoganda.

It's perfectly reasonable for a show to have horrific people on.... so long as they loudly are showing "No that is bullshit, here's why that is bullshit!".

if you still have spotify, please cancel it.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago (8 children)

Which music streaming service do you recommend? (honest question)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

YouTube premium has YouTube music, and it works well enough for me and my extended family

Does Joe Rogan own Spotify?

[–] [email protected] 41 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

No, but they're donating money to the inauguration and hosting Rogan, Shapiro, and others podcasters to, by Spotify's own word, "tout the power of podcasts in the election". It seems awfully cozy behavior.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 days ago

Oh shit, thanks for the jnfo!

[–] [email protected] 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yes, I guess at this point Spotify is a pro-Nazi business.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 2 days ago (1 children)

What large corporation isn’t at this point?

I'm noticing that being a "man's man" seems to correlate with being a bootlicker.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Anti intellectualism and submitting to fascist authority both align with machismo culture.

Moat of them have been trained from a very young age by their religious leaders to beleive anything without proof and that malice is the most effective and moral way to obtain dopamine.

And extreme toxicity to the point that it drives everyone away from them so they just start with some Olympic level mental gymnastics to explain why it's not their fault people hate them.

[–] [email protected] 65 points 2 days ago

an entire ideology totally deaf to irony.

What's another word for a guy who defends nazis?

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 days ago

Hmm i have the feeling it's start with a N

[–] [email protected] 68 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Can always count on Joe Rogan to be the smartest man in the room when he’s alone.

[–] [email protected] 69 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I don't know, I think he may be the first person to ever be stupider than himself.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Come on can we not use that type of word. Can't we make fun of him for his terrible beliefs and not his IQ, I know plenty of lower intelligent people who are not Nazi sympathizers.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

No one ever said he's a Nazi sympathizer because he's stupid. He's a Nazi sympathizer and he's stupid.

Mans got 2 braincells fighting for 3rd place and they're both losing.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Dude's about as clever as frozen scallop.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Joe Rogan is such a disappointment. Dude lost his mind during COVID.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He took a side and knoew what he was doing when he did.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

Dude used to openly endorse Bernie sanders and defended him vehemently on his podcast. He also laid the smack down on Candace Owens about climate change and owned Jordan Peterson on his stupid views about equality of outcome. He also called Steven Crowder a bitch to his face. He is a far cry from that man now.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Hey hey now - let's not forget that he got famous in the first place on the garbage pile that was fear factor.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago

Must we forget about the fantastic News Radio that quickly?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

And the so-called Man Show with that other shitheel

[–] [email protected] 19 points 2 days ago

Hey, you can badmouth Rogan all you want, but you do not badmouth my man Doug Stanhope.

Despite their doing that show together, he's about as anti-Rogan as you can get.

Everyone makes mistakes.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

That was Kimmel and Carolla. I don't think Joe was on that.

Never mind, he was. But long after I had stopped watching it.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Speaking of alt-right dipsticks, what is Adam Carolla up to these days?

Looks like the answer is: not much.

Nazi sympathizer = Nazi

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I was kinda hoping that Joe would call it what it was. Not that I care about his opinion but to at least prove he is still somewhat independent.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago

He's the Sanewasher General.
