if you still have spotify, please cancel it.

Which music streaming service do you recommend? (honest question)
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll have a look at them. Unfortunately none of them seem all that good. Spotify ist the only one that has a Linux app. Tide has a third party app, which is just the website inside electron. Even the Spotify app is just electron. I find it extremely shitty that these companies don't even bother publishing electron apps. The ratings on the play store are also mostly bad. But I have to investigate that.

I know it’s fashionable to hate on Apple (justified or not), but Apple Music is very good. As a bonus, you can bundle it with Apple TV+, which have so many extremely good shows and movies.
I’m quite happy with Tidal. Been using it for 6-7 months now.
I've tried a few of them, all with family plans:
Amazon Music: good track selection, awful apps. Horrid integration with Sonos.
YouTube Music: I was using this for quite a while, my kids hated it because of the way the miniplayer worked. I found it frustrating because it would often play a YouTube rip of a song instead of the album track.
Tidal: great choice, but I couldn't get it to use gapless playback when casting to my receiver.
Apple Music: we're currently all using this one. Everyone is happy (Android, Chromecast, Sonos, iPhones, iPads, Car Play, and Android Auto). Finally.
Have you tried Napster? That's not a joke in case you thought it might be
YouTube premium has YouTube music, and it works well enough for me and my extended family
Yes cause google is SO much better
I use Tidal but their servers kind of suck sometimes.
Does Joe Rogan own Spotify?
No, but they're donating money to the inauguration and hosting Rogan, Shapiro, and others podcasters to, by Spotify's own word, "tout the power of podcasts in the election". It seems awfully cozy behavior.
Oh shit, thanks for the jnfo!
Yes, I guess at this point Spotify is a pro-Nazi business.
What large corporation isn’t at this point?
Costco?
