Other than going through the guide on Framework's website I can only recall having to edit the config files to get the fingerprint reader to work with KDE.

In frustration I switched from fedora to manjaro on my laptop and it has fixed almost all the issues I had even though fedora is the recommended distro by Framework. Dunno why but in all my time using Linux (even back to when netbooks were a thing) Arch based ones have consistently given me the least issues even though I'm far from an expert.

My bank's password used to have to be exactly 6 characters, no special characters and you could use numbers and letters interchangeably because it was also your phone banking password.

Polling is essentially meaningless until an election is called, and given none of the parties are making policy promises at this point it is more of a state of sentiment about the current government.

I really hope that whoever gets elected this next election that they only get a minority so there is at least some chance of ensuring they don't do anything too extreme.

Engineer should still be an IC position and not have that many meetings. It should be a project or team lead that does the majority of meetings.

The big issue I see with people driving Phillips screws is that they don't use a large enough driver size. Computer screws for example are Phillips #2 and I've never had an issue with them stripping.

My father literally had a digital rolodex device for keeping his phone numbers in for his early cellphones.

Frankly I don't even want that. I hate when my fridge starts beeping at me because I have it open while I am putting away groceries or cleaning it.
