Honestly I think it's kind of funny the administration is trying to bury this, because there is already very public information on Trump being a rapist and making creepy remarks towards young girls.
If it releases with him on it his supporters would absolutely do the mental gymnastics required to use it as proof the liberal elite are an evil cabal, while also insisting that dear leader is blameless.

Because there's nothing there, really. I'm reading an old book ("old" meaning twenty years which is not old but- ) it has used Newsweek as a source of truth several times. Because there was a time it was considered to be so.
It is not now. Whoever owns it is playing a bad game of chicken with journalism.
If they report on the old things: "this isn't new news! Stupid media"
If they don't, "ugh 24 hour news cycle, they report on it once then forget about it. Stupid media."
I'm giving this one a pass if it keeps the files in the limelight and/or pisses off Trump.
Yes it serves our purposes, sure. It has nothing to do with whether or not the news is "old" or "new". At least not for me. For the mods of c/news perhaps.

Oh the list exists, of course. I'm not saying they're making up things necessarily - just that they're making "news articles" out of tweets and other low-effort so-called-journalism which wasn't really the case a long time ago.

Newsweek, given it's history and the crass purchasing of the branding is especially egregious.
