Haven’t seen the movie yet (guess I’ll have to now), but I imagine it’s a good pairing with this: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7193362/

The fact that the ghost of Roy fucking Cohn still hangs over America is nauseating.
I know that this movie will portray drumpf in a (rightfully) negative light, but even that isn't enough. I can barely stand this individual now, why on earth would I want to see him being portrayed by a handsome actor for an hour and a half or however long this movie is? I am sick of hearing him talk, I'm sick of people talking about him, I'm sick of hearing about him, I just want him to get locked away in a prison cell to rot away the rest of his intolerable existence.
I would need a movie to completely abandon portraying him in any light that could be construed as sympathetic or favorable. I would love to see a movie show drumpf in the same light that Inglorious Bastards portrayed hitler. Anything short of that is just giving this pathetic racist rapist more attention than he's worth.
It’s been described as a monster movie, so I assume Trump grabbing a woman by the pussy and taking her to the top of the Empire State Building before being blasted to bits by helicopters is the reason to see it.
Fuck me, I'd watch that.
Though Kong had a code of ethics and morals superior to trump.
Sebastian Stan as Trump?
He's way too handsome for that role.
As weird as it sounds, the wig on Sebastian Stan looks realistically fake.
His campaign can go fuck itself
please leak soon!
I really don't know how well this will perform in theaters.
Are they trying to trick MAGAs into watching it? Get enough people who hate him to watch it?
Seems like a made for TV movie with better actors.
Great promotion ..... for Turnip
It's the age old thing about talking about people or trying to market the next big thing. As long as they're talking about you, that's a good thing.
Good news, bad news, stupid news, lies, truths, information, disinformation .... none of it matters as long as they're talking about you and the things you want to talk about.
It's modern day media manipulation .... you aggravate your followers, upset the opposition, piss off the sideliners, agitate the ignorant and get everyone fighting all the time ... as soon as they start trying to think for themselves, throw more shit into the fan to get everyone angry again and again and again. All they ever do is fight about things in front of them while you go off into the background to do whatever you want.
People then get divided into two camps .... those that continually fight without end or results ... and those who just give up, step away and willingly embrace ignorance.
Yes! Donald Trump is the mathematic equivalent of the absolute symbol. example: |-99| + |-594| = 693
A negative story is coverage, makes the left talk about him which riles up the right to fight back and vote because they feel oppressed. The right doesn't live in reality, so as long as they know Trump is being talked about that makes him their guy.
I realized this very quickly in 2017 that people were falling for the trap. I have no idea why anyone upvotes anything with Trump in it.
One of the ways I deal with it is by only referring to him as Turnip
personally prefer Donnie, but I'll add that to the collection

I knew it was Sebastian Stan, but then I watched this (without sound) and couldn't tell if it looked more like Jimmy Fallon or Bill Hader.
This does seem pretty on-point:
Vanity Fair journalist Gabriel Sherman, who wrote the screenplay, draws a direct line between Cohn’s bare-knuckle tactics and Trump’s modern-day political persona. Cohn (Jeremy Strong) instructs Trump (Sebastian Stan) to relentlessly attack, “deny everything” and “never admit defeat.”
I can't believe they made that.
Although I'm sick of hearing about that turd, the fact that his campaign people are calling for it to go away kind of makes me want to see it.
Reportedly, one of the financial backers kept it from being distributed because he thought it was going to portray Trump in a flattering light (edit: and was angry that it didn't). The only reason it's now being released is because his share was bought out.
That's not what I've heard. The movie's creator recently gave an interview on the The New Yorker Radio Hour, where he cited as one of the difficulties the film faced with financial backers and distributors that it included a scene of Trump raping Ivana Trump (a claim she later recanted under pressure from Trump's lawyers).
That's what I'm talking about, as well as scenes showing Trump using amphetamines.
Dan Snyder, who donated over $1 million to Trump's campaign and also backed this film, was reportedly angry about the negative portrayals of Trump. He kept fighting the release of the movie until his company's stake in the film was bought out, which is why it's being shown now.
Ah, gotcha. The podcast doesn't make it sound so drastic, but it goes in a similar direction.
Yeah i really have no intention at all of watching this. But the lead actors are great, and the pushback from Trump make it tempting.
