I haven't really watched Dr Phil's stuff and have been basically only at best 'aware' of its existence, but it's so strange to me that someone who's supposed to be a therapist is against 'wokeness'. You literally have people who are victims of harassment who need your help, the very help you are supposed to be a specialist in providing, and your answer is 'I hate you'?

Don't forget ladyballers, which was originally supposed to be a basically 'opinionated' documentary where just some of the gang try to sign up for an actual, realworld basketball league, as women.
This original concept of the movie was scrapped after they were told they would all have to actually start on HRT and progress to the point that their metabolic panels came back showing they were now within whatever parameters that local/minor league used as their definition of 'sufficiently transitioned', and none of the crew/actors would do it.
So, they made it into a fucking terrible 'comedy' movie instead.

They spend 5 years or a decade or whatever ratcheting up extremism, and then their audience exceeds them in extremism, gets pissed at them for not being extreme enough, and then they waffle around and get left behind, their audience now moving to ... new blood, some new, even more insane talking head.

They both exploit desperate people for profit, but one of them is honest about doing so. The other one is just misery porn camouflaged as therapy.
