Yes, but like with all these assholes they're only concerned when it directly affects them...

Better late than never, but I really wish these asshats had at least 2 brain cells dedicated to "giving a shit about other people."

The only reason Clarkson is still well liked is because he is funny and charismatic. But over all he is still an arch-conservative Tory jerk.

for sure. I love him as a TV persona, but definitly feel he and I would NOT get along in person.

This is amusing, as while watching Clarkson's Farm, I find myself constantly yelling at the TV that he's being dumb. But seems like every time he is interacting(in person) with someone he doesn't know intimately he is extremely kind and deferential. With the exception being people that are antagonizing him in some way, even if they're not being malicious about it.

Part of that is just a lot of funny tv people are mean spirited in their jokes, but may be nicer when not on TV

I used to see so many monarch butterflies when I was a kid in Indiana. So many fireflies too. I don't think I've seen a single monarch since I moved back about a decade ago and hardly any fireflies.

Don't rake your leaves up in the fall and don't mow in the spring until you are afraid of being fined. Plant a native garden. I have 3 species of fireflies in my little yard, and there are a lot of them.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

We actually do all of that already. We even had a local person from the DNR come in and help us with choosing native plants and getting rid of invasive ones. Very few fireflies. There used to be so many when I was a kid, you could just walk around catching them in your hands in the evening.

Plant some milkweed in your garden and they'll come. It's literally a weed, so minimal care is required.

Yeah, monoculture is probably the culprit, not climate change.

What a work of art. Reminds me of Bill Burrs rant on Steve Jobs.

That was amazing. And hostile lol.

It's just a joke, like on Top Gear.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

I hope he gets decapitated. It's just a joke. But that joke also happens to be what I actually wish would happen.

Whenever I see Clarkson mentioned this pops into my head.

I saw a butterfly in my yard a few days ago and I just stared at it and realized that I don't think I've seen one in years.

Butterflies ate my face
