Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Vinn diagram of people wearing ear patches and masks is just two circles yeah?

[–] [email protected] 21 points 3 months ago

"I'm wearing daddy's pants, I'm wearing daddy's pants, look daddy! Look!"

[Dad walks by, not acknowledging child except to quickly scowl in dismissive disappointment]

With the diapers, the ear bandages, the flags and wigs and spray tan, prepping for attending a Trump rally may require more work than prepping to attend a Rocky Horror screening.

The stupidity of the yokels is astounding. There's no saving this country. Repubs have made their constituents too blinded by culture war bullshit to think critically about anything.

I still wear my face bandage in honor of Nelly.

It's silly, but I like this headline better than "Trump supporter breaks into house and beats man with a hammer" or "Trump supporter kills police officer during attempted takeover of Capitol" or any number of other things we've had happen this year.

They're going to buy a lot of Chinese-made red MAGA hats and flags anyway, so I don't see this as too far off.

As long as it doesn't lead to anything worse.

Corporate news sewers are falling over trying to suck themselves off over this fucking horserace gold.

It’s not unexpected, not even a new low for them. Just disgraceful and despicable.

The OG, did it before it was cool. Original Gogh

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

"But mom, all the ~cool~ cruel kids are doing it!!"

So... if the attempt was successful would they all be plugging themselves in the head too?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

And the diapers? Do they wear those as well? I remember when this same bunch were wearing purple heart bandaids to mock Kerry.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 3 months ago (1 children)

This is just disturbing. These people need psychological help.

Seeing a row of women who look like his ex wives cheering. Like fucking really? Do you want him to rape and beat you as well like he did his first wife? You wanna be with him while he rapes children? What in the ever living fuck is wrong with those people?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Don't ask a question like that as you may be disturbed by the answer you get.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Now is a good time to break out the tiny bandaids used to mock John Kerry.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

I'm picturing the amount of hysteria from the pearl-clutching tone police about "the rhetoric".

[–] [email protected] 66 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Are they still wearing adult diapers in support or is that out of style now?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 3 months ago

Fuck. I’d forgotten about that until reading this. I’d have preferred it that way.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What, they cut up their performative diapers?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (2 children)
[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They were wearing them over their pants and so weren't going to catch their shit. Hence, performative.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

Oh, I figured at least some were wearing them that way thinking they might actually work. :)

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

They help with performance. If you don't need to go to the bathroom every time you need to pee, you perform better at various functions /s

🤣😂🤣😀🤣😀

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I love how they have a bunch of classic pictures of people fawning and speakers at podiums, and then "Rudy fell in a row of chairs."

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

Those two pictures of him would have been funnier if presented the other way around

[–] [email protected] 75 points 3 months ago (1 children)

lol. What fucking jokes those people are.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 3 months ago

They should shorten their fingers to have tiny hands.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

What's the over/under on the amount of Kotex they cut up?
