I use Libretube so... No.
I'm more swarmed with the fact that when I updated my repatched yt app I now have to open videos in Newpipe because videos will usually within in the first couple minutes go to the black buffer screen indefinitely.
I thought i was the only one. Also using newpipe lol
I haven't seen those ads or any other since I've got an ad blocker
I have Ublock Origin and use Revanced
So no :p
Can confirm Ublock Origin is an absolute godsend! YouTube forcing me to watch multiple 3-minute long ads just to watch a 2-minute video was driving me nuts!
Honestly I would probably just stop using YouTube altogether if I was forced to use it unmodified.

Naw, haven't seen an ad in years, because I use Adblockers.

Not a one for me. Probably not random, though; I have targeted advertising turned off. Probably youβre recognized as being in a specific demographic they want. Change your settings and see if they go away.

I couldn't stop giggling at the ad banner I saw for it. Something about imagining Godzilla gnawing on a kong (Dog toy) and losing.
None, YouTube thinks I am interested in gambling and electric cars. I am interested in neither.
Iβm bombarded with haircare product adsβI have literally not used shampoo in ten years. I just rinse my hair in the shower with water and itβs all great. Iβm so glad YT is so off.
I get ads in Spanish and Korean on my TV. And I don't speak either of them.

Not many people here I guess, because most people here use ad blockers.
Sounds like you need uBlock Origin or Invidious/NewPipe.

Might need to uninstall/disable videos opening in the YouTube app but yeah this combo works great.
Super easy to add. Takes less time than sitting through an unskippable YouTube ad.
