Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I trust doctors to make medical statements, shit-smeared troglodytes are who I go to for supreme court decisions.

Alito is a liar. Scotus is illegitimate.

It's more than just being a liar. These "facts" get passed around in anti-abortion circles without being challenged. Todd Akin saying "If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down" is the same thing. They aren't strictly lying; they believe it's true because the people they talk to say this all the time and nobody calls it out. It gets to be quite the shock when their "fact" gets out to the public at large. Suddenly, someone says "no, that's not right, and here's proof" and they don't know what to do but repeat the claim and go ahead and do what they were going to do, anyway.

Not to people.

Yeah, pretty on par with the honesty and integrity and intelligence that I've come to expect from one of the greatest of conservative minds.

We are fucked.

Let me know when we are breaking out the fucking guillotines for these fuckers. This piece of shit and rest of them should be removed from office by force if need be. Because they are illegitimate and we should ignore their rulings.

I’d sooner believe mefipristone implying that “justice” samuel alito could cause very serious harm.

A quick and easy guide for politicians, lawmakers, and judges when making determinations regarding questions of medications:

  1. Are you a trained and licensed medical professional? If yes, go to step 2. If no, go to step 3.
  2. Great, provide your honest professional opinion with peer review, proceed to step 3.
  3. Shut the fuck up.

There's the face of women's health.

And you wonder why some people are cynical.

If depo-prevera is still legal I don't see why his opinion means anything.

Edit: gotta love downvotes without information - are yall aware of what depo prevera does? Are you aware it's been used for latent sterilization? Are you aware of the side effects?

If it's legal, then their bullshit argument is completely arbitrary.

i'm tired of that corrupt piece of shit, and all his corrupt friends there

There are no legal pathways left to removing these people except to vote. But we've already learned that that has been compromised too.

When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 7 months ago

Boy do I wish we could vote justices in, and/or punish justices for being corrupt.

Of course not. Then they’d actually have to resolve the cognitive dissonance that induces migraines on a daily basis

[–] [email protected] 36 points 7 months ago

Oh really? And when did you get a degree in medicine, you sack of fascist shit?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 7 months ago

nobody tell him about chemotherapy

[–] [email protected] 47 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Man it would be so cool to live somewhere that doctors and scientists made this sort of decision.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (2 children)

That would be cool. We would have to get rid of all the billionaires and theocrats first though.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

And I mean, religion in general needs to go if we want this to work.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 7 months ago

Sounds good, let's do it.
