99% of all software I use I downloaded from my distro repository, GitHub or torrent trackers. I doubt that this "infographics" counts that.
Colloquially, apps usually just means phone apps these days. So that means it's probably Android Play Store, and iOS App Store.

You are not the average person when it comes to downloading and installing software. Of course statistics like this one won't count that.
