Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Can't robots make toys for us in 2025? We shouldn't need to use humans at slavery level wages.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

The robots in China are cheaper, especially when there are tariffs to import them.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

Trump's extortion through tarrif's plan is working so well huh? What a fucking joke.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

Do you want to tell them that people with a diminishing budget and ballooning costs will simply stop buying toys, or shall I?

India boasts the most competitive labor costs in Asia, with a national-level minimum daily wage of approximately INR 178 (equivalent to US$2.13), translating to around INR 5340 (approximately US$63.97) per month.

With economics like that, it completely makes sense that tariffs will bring manufacturing back to the USA. /s

Oh come on. Just get 2 barbies instead of 30, unpatriotic bitches.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I realize it's a joke, but donvict and his shitstain crew have managed to now politicize not only nearly every other fucking thing, but now they have managed it for toys, too.

I mean, they managed to politicize the fucking weather, and that's on top of fact-based reporting, science, medicine, vaccines, social distancing measures, etc....

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Turns out literally everything (figuratively speaking) is political because politics dictate how everything is run and how we live our everyday lives.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Sure but not everyone wants to talk about red vs. blue all the time in everyday conversations. The qons make that harder and harder with each passing year. They've ruined just trying to stay on "nice" topics like the weather - if it snows or you get a cold snap, it's all "gosh, where is Al Gore right now???!!!" kind of thing.

Now even presents for children are going to be loaded with magabrained overtones.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

When the climate stops being nice due to the long term effects of climate change, it makes sense that people will start talking about Al Gore and what could have been. Whether you want to talk about it or not, it's still political.

Political Dolls would be a nice name for a punk rock band.
