MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell broke down in court this week, telling a judge he has no money left to pay the sanctions imposed against him in a defamation case brought by voting technology company Smartmatic.

“I’m in ruins,” Lindell said tearfully during a virtual hearing before U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols on Wednesday, according to a report from ABC News. “I borrowed everything I can. Nobody will lend me any money anymore.”

Lindell was ordered to pay $56,369 in sanctions to Smartmatic, which sued him for defamation in 2022 over his baseless claims that the company helped rig the 2020 presidential election against Donald Trump.

Let me know when he's seen living in a cardboard box. Until then, it's probably bullshit.

56k is worth tears to this rich nazi* pillow fluffer?

With the company that had 1,500 employees and bought "an average of $1 million in ads per week on Fox"?

*the nazi thing:

On September 20, 2024, MyPillow posted an advertisement on X (formerly Twitter) for a sale on their classic pillow. The sale price was $14.88, which critics have noted is a common Nazi dog whistle known as the Fourteen Words. Numerous white supremacist accounts praised MyPillow and Mike Lindell in response. Lindell has denied that there was any hidden meaning behind the price, calling it a media hit job.

Weren't smart matic machines used in this election as well?

Another question. Would this mean all the ones who claims similar related to Trump rigging the elections are subject to this same situation happening?

Can't. Defunded them all and threw all the medics into the Marianas Trench, right after tying them to MyCinderBlocks.

He’ll be ok on social security. It’s a good thing he hasn’t aided people who are dismantling the safety nets…

I guess his accomplices never told him: you only get to avoid consequences if you're wealthy.

I kid, of course. I am sure he said this after leaving his 500k-1mil valued house, and driving to the court in an audi. Sorry, pal, but you might just have to give a couple things up until you tug those bootstraps a little harder. It's what you'd tell anyone else living outside of their means and committing crimes to do.

Oh no, wait, you wouldn't. You'd look for a way to tie them to a minority group and ask ICE to come pick them up. Fucking fascist.

Just because the words are savage AF doesn't meant they aren't the truth.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You need more upvotes. You're aggressive, harsh, and direct with your words.

But also correct. More people need to be harsh towards this type of behavior. Why are societies kid gloves still on?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Thanks. I appreciate you saying so.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Cool, you chose to do this so sell everything you own and start over again

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

what about denier-in-chief? Could someone use this ruling as a precedent to launch a lawsuit against him?

Smartmatic: "Fuck you, pay me."
