Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

How fucked is your company if the CEO has the president's ear, and the company sends a letter to tell them to please stop what they are doing.

That is comically depressing.

Leopard eating face moment for Tesla.

Tesla sourced their steel for the Cybertruck from Finland. 😁🤣

Oh no! If only there was SOMEONE who had More Power then the President who ALSO worked at Tesla that could STOP this!

With the moron being an absentee CEO at multiple companies that the moron is supposedly the CEO of... what would it take for the board of each company to fire him? CEO's get fired all the time for reasons the board comes up with randomly.

Any other CEO would have been fired a long time ago for dragging the company monetary value down as much as Twitter has, for example.

Musk is more than just the CEO, he is also the largest shareholder. The last estimate I see online is 12%. So while he does not hold a majority, as the largest shareholder he has outsized influence with the board. He probably hand-picked them all.

Tesla... warned that US exporters were “exposed to disproportionate impacts when other countries respond to US trade actions”.

That's the point of retaliatory tariffs. Trump's tariffs are stupid, other country's tariffs are smarter and more targeted to have outsized impact on the US and less impact domestically. It's absolutely intentional.
