Just seemed like a fun question. I have been getting Kroger brand, and they seem to have a lot more plain fat chunks than they used to. And usually fat is where the flavor is, but these seem flavorless. But what else makes a good bacon bit? And what is your favorite brand?

Whichever is cheapest at the supermarket I'm currently in.

just strips of bacon in the oven on the grease collector pan, then fridge, then crunch it up and freeze the excess on a pan, then jar it and store in the freezer. some fridge portion always left for snacking too.

What do you mean brand? Bacon doesn’t have a brand. You go to a good butcher and buy bacon. No brands are involved.

Cheapest bacon and a knife to make myself

The best answer.

None because I’m vegan (sorry)

The McCormick Bacon Bits are vegan, are they not? They're soy flour and veggie oil.

There also looks to be some varieties in packets that look to have a more chewy texture these days.

No favorite brand or recipe for a smokey crisp salad topping?

I used to buy some brand that I knew was fake, but I don’t really care for them much so I stopped buying them.

Any that are spelled Bac'n or don't contain the words "real bacon" are soy protein and vegan friendly.

Oh right, I had forgotten. I did used to buy one brand sometimes but forgot about it.

Don't deny yourself the smokey goodness! Even vegans deserve good Bac'n! Banana peels make a decent substitute if you need slices for a BLT or something.

SLANINA TANKA SLAJS ZLATIBORAC.

Because it sounds cool.

Can't argue with that.

The Hormel Real Crumbled Bacon, I don't have a Kroger near me so I've never had theirs. It has various sized bits of bacon. I've been putting them on croissants with different cheeses and heating in microwave.
