I'm still baffled at the logo redesign to what looks like a butthole. Like, you're telling me NO ONE on the design team watched Community?

That's the thing about the "fuck cars, everyone should switch to bicycles" mindset. For most cities, especially in the US, it's just not safe yet.
You can say that if more people rode, or bike friendly infrastructure was put in place, then it'd be safer, but it's just not safe yet.
You can say it's more healthy than cars and doesn't take as much time or energy as people think, especially with e-bikes; but it's just not safe yet.
After seeing my 3rd friend in Seattle (supposedly a fairly "bike friendly" city) get hit by a car and need to be hospitalized, I decided biking is not for me and may never be. Since then, 2 more friends have gotten in accidents. I don't exactly have a large group of friends and if you widdle that down to friends who predominantly bike as their method of transportation, I'm looking at over a 60% accident rate for bikers I know.
It's just not safe yet.
Meanwhile Ravenclaw had Cho Chang and... Uh... Hmm...
Oh yea! I forgot about that one! It's starting to be used a lot in implantable medical devices to generate a small current. There was also that thing a few years back that was trying to use it to generate power from waves/tides; not sure if that actually got past the proof-of-concept stage though.
The only truly new method of power generation we've made in the last 100 years has been photovoltaic cells. Everything else is just finding new ways to make turbines spin.
Political echo chambers have been in "Two Minutes of Hate" mode for years now. Throw every insult imaginable at your opponents. Even if it doesn't fit, even if it doesn't make sense. Just hold someone up and go "This is the bad man! Boo the bad man! Boooooo!" Anyone who cares ask "Why are we booing? And what makes this man bad?" Is immediately silenced by others because it's just so obvious he's a bad man. Look at all the other people booing him!
Meanwhile his face is digitally changed to a bleating goat, and the people cheer.
This happens on both right and left wing echo chambers.
Your downvotes speak volumes
Congratulations, you're part of the problem.
The fact that so many are believing this anecdote to be real is a good reason why the Dems lost.
Why bother with reality and learning what actual people are experiencing in their actual lives when you can just share made up stories and extreme fringe cases that confirm your world view?
Media literacy is fucking dead.
The butchering mechanic is mostly there as a joke. After you do it once, you unlock a much better and friendlier version of recycling your duplicate Pals.
How are the dangers of illegally entering a country in any way the problem of said country? Like, if someone was trying to break into your house through a back window and wound up stepping into a nest of ground hornets, no one would say it's your responsibility to make sure the non-path to your back window is free of hazards. Does it really need to be stated that countries are under no obligation to ensure illegal routes across their borders are safe?
If they go the route of TX and actively make the area more dangerous, that's an entirely different story. But it's the US/Canada border. In winter. It gets cold. If your strategy for entering a country involves standing outside in Sub-Zero temperatures with inadequate clothing... You need a different strategy.
