I would do the math. I have purchased insurance on my own for my family and it was ~$1500/month. Does the better paying job exceed that? If so then I would take the better paying job.

It’s anecdotal, but I worked in several kitchens and meth use was rampant. Everyone was also sleeping with each other. It was wild.
