Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). “So I guess it goes from Putin to Musk to trump to the cleaner’s… right, Kent?”

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago (5 children)

Hot damn I get this reference and love that movie!

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Right? A Real Genius quote in the wild just made my day!

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago

Yeah don't see many quotes from that movie! It's in my top 10 and I own that movie. Great sound track too.

Trump

Who? Not ringing any bells.

[–] [email protected] 80 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Unsurprisingly, this also works on Trump supporters. They get furious when you even go so far as accidentally and unintentionally imply that Musk's opinion will influence Trump's actions.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 3 months ago

Wait until JD Vance remove Trump using 25th amendment see how that blows their minds.

8 years ago I'd have thought "Elon will step out of the limelight to avoid upsetting Trump so he can use his White House access to make a ton of money." Now, I know he's just as narcissistic and stupid as Donald Trump is.

We need people at every Trump event holding up giant signs that say “We ❤️ President Musk!” Line the streets leading to Mar-a-Lago with these signs!

Then rinse and repeat for every other shitheel that’s aligned with the Orange One.

Surely the leopard won't eat my face!

Daily reminder that it's always a good idea to tweet Trump with messages like "why aren't your ideas as good as <insert scumbag here>?"

Get them in the habit of tearing each other apart and we can keep them occupied for most of the next 4y.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago

Oh, this is fantastic. A group of individualists will never function cooperatively

I'm optimistic that trump has built a pool of piranhas to jump into on January

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Looks like we found (again) his weak spot. Take his power away, and he freaks out.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Also his head and neck are typically exposed.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

And bright orange, like a target.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

These men will only be broken through their ego. I had a feeling this was coming, but I thought it would take longer.

So, if musk does become speaker of the house, he also is 3rd in the line of succession.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (2 children)

He's foreign born. He can't legally be president... unless someone changes the US Constitution.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

The Constitution has changed many times

But, now that presidents can not be charged for "official" acts, who knows?

Nothing in this article supports the headline directly. The last paragraph is.
"There’s no telling just yet how much of a rift this has caused between the two men, as Musk seems to be a long-term fixture in Trump’s inner circle. But if this kind of public one-upping continues, who knows how long this bromance will last."

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago

Good good let the hate flow through you.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I hope president Musk can keep his hired goon under control.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 3 months ago

Trump ought to get congress to pass the spending bill just to show Musk who's boss.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 3 months ago

This has been obvious from day 1 of the Trump and Musk show. Trump is an ego maniac and does not like other people taking the lime light.

Trump is predictable in that sense but then highly unpredictable as he turns to his next round of courtiers and sycophants.

[–] [email protected] 125 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Lol it's so easy to manipulate Trump into turning on people.

[–] [email protected] 36 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

I think it was an YUGE step for Trump to admit he can’t do the job on his own. And, to let Rupert Murdoch and Vladmir make him let Elon have control could not have been easy. So kudos Don, for admitting you’re just not smart enough and needed help.

The greatest South African inserted Immigrant President of all time.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago (2 children)

That fuckin dunce is never going to be smart enough to admit fault in anything. Dude could shit his pants and blame someone else in the room the next day, no problem.

It's lucky that Elon is the president and not Trump.

"I'm in fucken space rn, I wonder if anyone can tell I can't feel my lips"

[–] [email protected] 268 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Reporters need to start asking trump how he likes working with such a wealthy person as Musk...

Their egos are too big to coexist

[–] [email protected] 74 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They should ask Vice President Trump if he enjoys working under "President Musk"

[–] [email protected] 44 points 3 months ago (2 children)

First Lady Trump*

Let him think the public (rightfully) sees him as Elon's bitch.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (3 children)

Nah, demeaning to women, and I'm not even the type to say that for a lot of things.

Let's make Trump Elon's First Lad.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

First man Trump, although does it counts for the title if they're not married?

They should ask Trump if, while hanging around Musk, Trump has now seen how rich people live.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 3 months ago

Lmfao. Good!
