Pedophile calling for mass murder in support of Israel: I sleep.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago

Isn't it great how this isn't a call to violence or genocidal rhetoric?

If British people want to be nuked so badly, it would be much better for their country to strike Buckingham Palace

Rod Liddle is a piece of shit, and was long before this article. He famously argued that viewing child porn shouldn't be illegal, that poor mental health is linked inextricably with poverty, how it is difficult to avoid being racist, and that we should hold elections in the UK on Muslim holy days.

Proper cunt.

That being said, poor mental health is absolutely linked inextricably with poverty.

Living on the edge of starvation and homelessness is incredibly anxiety inducing and stressful, even more so when you have others relying on you, and not seeing, or there not being, a way out is depressing. In turn, being very stressed/anxious/depressed reduces your ability to escape poverty and not having any money or time you can afford to spend on something other than barely surviving reduces your ability to improve your mental health. Similar factors, like having a strong social support network, can keep you out of both and factors that can destroy people's social support networks (like coming out as trans/queer) put you at higher risk of both.

I'm guessing that's not what Liddle was saying though. The man sounds utterly vile. Was it some sort of "capitalism is a meritocracy so if you can't cut it you must have something wrong with you (derogatory) and so don't deserve comfort or dignity" angle?

Yeah, I'm guessing it was less of a "poverty is extremely stressful and causes poor mental health, so we should eliminate it" and more of a "the poors are all crazy druggos and it should be legal to shoot them in the streets."

EDIT: Wait, you can talk?!

spectator still printed it

Another average British journalist

I could easily imagine myself being tempted into a treasonable disposition under a Labour Government dominated by the Marxist Left … Suppose, in these circumstances, one were approached by an official of the C.I.A. who sought to enlist one’s help in a project designed to ‘destabilise’ this far left government. Would it necessarily be right to refuse co-operation?

So he’s a card-carrying criminal psychopath? Oh gee, I wonder why he wishes for the destruction of objectively moral people. Yeah, it’s a damnation of America Island on how he’s not rotting in solitary confinement.

I just had to know how the sentence finished.

spoiler

We’re talking secondary school level here, by the way — and even then I don’t think I’d have dabbled much below year ten [age 14-15], as it is now called. I just thought we ought to clear that up early on. At my old comprehensive school a few teachers were known to be schtupping the pupils; one of them, a female teacher who was extremely foxy in a Pot Noodle scuzzy kind of way — she copped off with some fifth-form [age 15-16] lad, and another teacher (a man with a guitar and a faux rebellious attitude) gained the affections of an extremely attractive fourth-form [age 14-15] girl. As pupils, we didn’t remotely mind about this and both teachers were very popular.

literally nobody is forcing you to write in a newpaper op ed that you want to fuck children. nobody made you do that. you don't gain anything from doing that. why would you fucking do that when it would cost you literally $0 to not do that

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I think you gain social standing in terf island by admitting to being a pedophile

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago

I don’t even call it Terf Island anymore. America Island is more like it.

Don't worry he goes on to assure readers he probably wouldn't go after 14 year olds, unless maybe if they were really hot.
