I do think it is a byproduct of capitalism. Kindness doesn't make profit, so it is discouraged, even if it is "officially" seen as a good virtue by people, a lot of people love the anime villain/toddler logic of "It doesn't benefit me personally, so I view it as weakness."

I remember being in school and being taught not to trust computers, that they can get things wrong and are only as good as the person who programmed them. It really does seem like Millenials were the only group to ever get that message hammered into them (And a lot of us didn't listen anyway).
I haven't played it or really heard of it, but it's probably awful? That's what you wanted to hear right?
I love the banner, it looks like they didn't really plan it out and realised halfway that they didn't have enough space.
They shock me when I see a friend playing them at their place. It's always the same flashy bloom "realistic" graphics that look identical to any other game on the market, with token RPG elements shoved in and nothing that gives it a unique sense of style or flow. They just always look so boring to me. Like Assasin's creed 69 looks functionally the same as red dead rootin' tootin' just that one is about cowboys, one is about like, ancient greece or something.
Hearing that information literally caused me psychic damage.
butt why?
Because a lot of people are sold the idea that the bullshit machine isn't a bullshit machine, it's a magic "do everything" machine. They hear the buzzwords and never look further and just assume it must be great because so many people are talking about it. Or they hear speculation about what it "could" do and mistake that for an actual claim about what it currently does, like any good grift product or pyramid scheme.
Sorry to have to tell you this, but Portugal was created by AI.
It's not that it isn't automatically an indicator of AI generation, rather — it is used frequently by AI in a way that doesn't follow the natural flow of human conversation.

Fine, Ape Escape it is. (Joke's on you, my disc is scratched and doesn't work anymore!)
And would remind themselves of this "travesty" of a character creation screen every time they turn the game on and it loads their modlist, instead of just the few times they create a character.
I think they just want to be angry, but are also lazy. Which is why they always pick the character creation stuff to get mad about. No sense getting mad about a quest 30 hours into the game, that takes effort to get to! But the character creation screen? Even a monkey smashing random buttons could probably reach it no problem.
