These moral bullshit arguments don’t matter. It’s not a moral problem, it’s economic. If people are able to afford the children during prime child rearing age they will have them. Case in point are the wealthy in america having a much higher fertility rate than the poor. I don't think it's fair to say that it's only an economic issue. Plenty of well off couples, some I personally know, could easily afford kids and just don't want them.
Not just economic; environmental. Existential, even.
