Here are a few things to keep you hopeful despite how awful it has gotten:

• The trends are not in favour of the G7 or NATO, at best they can delay the inevitable.
• Turkiye is increasingly asserting itself. To think there was a time when it wasn't even allowed to make ammunition. See: TAI TF Kaan.
• Yemen forced the US into a ceasefire.
• Russia surmounted what was supposed to be unsurmountable sanctions, its economy has out grown the US's and the UK's in 2024.
• More science and technology research is happening outside of the US, specifically in China.
• Israel has never been more unhinged and honest about its intentions. In the past they would deny the Nakba, now they openly call for a Second Nakba. In the past they would claim that all they want is to live in peace and to defend themselves from threats, now they are openly threatening Qatar and Egypt.
• The US and Israel are acting violently and irrationally -regardless of party- because they know they are running out of time.

Of course none of this make the genocide in Gaza anymore bearable, and it is depressing that the world is watching and no one is trying to stop it. But the system -rule based order- that allows it is being weakened even if at a slower pace than we would like.

I have been feeling the same and been constantly sad for a while. Over the past 2 years things played worse than I expected. The only upside for me was that Iran survived the last onslaught and inflicted pain the Zionists aren't accustomed to. On a personal level I am doing great, but I feel guilty, hopeless and helpless to the state of the world around me. Just going on with my daily life as nothing is happening when things are not fine at all.

That said, I'm still hopeful. Maybe the liberal are right for once and Trump will destroy the USA.

Israel is bleeding out population wise, a shitload of people left as soon as the first rockets hit.

The DPRK is recovering nicely, many modern town are being built.

China and Cuba grew closer, recently China became the biggest trading partner of Cuba.

Vietnam and Cuba working together to make Cuba rice self reliant.

The AES federation is kicking ass and taking names.

Russia is pushing back ukraine steadily. Not big maneuvers are happening on the russian side because they don't want the losses that would occur and also do not want to have 100.000s of pows to take care of.

A german Hohenzollern prince recently died in Windhoek while doing buisness with diamonds. Bozo down.

Vietnam just built a high-speed rail.

I mean, in the United States, I am very terrified. There is hardly any good news.

Who is we

I completely disagree, these small wins have costed the US and Europe all of their global credibility and have completely polarized their populations, it may seem that nothing ever happens but these things will eventually have consequences. They are also facing a very dangerous property crisis and the increasingly growing threat of dedollarization, people like saying that "China does nothing" but it's not true, the Chinese people have never been one to sit back and relax, while the West continues to sink their resources and public image into Israel/Ukraine, China continues to strenghten ties in Asia, Africa and latín america while developing alternatives to the financial monopoly of the West.

Sure it sucks what has happened in Syria and Gaza, but in the grand scheme of things, they're gonna end up being Israel problem, the people of Syria won't keep their heads down so the wahhabist chop them, it will inevitably blowback.
