Her laugh is totally normal. I’ve heard many women laugh similarly. 🤷‍♂️

I think Trump and his elephant harem are just not used to making women smile and laugh, so they are alarmed.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah.. I saw a kamalaw & order meme video today and her laugh is wonderful. It made me smile.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Haha! That’s a good one!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

I've seen him laugh one time, on a Logan Paul short. It was the oddest thing seeing Donald Trump laugh

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Her laugh is so endearing! Attacking her on this is so stupid and will backfire spectacularly. I really didn’t know a lot about her before she was picked for VP but I honestly haven’t seen many politicians able to speak and come across as genuine as she does.

"You laugh weird" says the child rapist.

MAGOMLA - Make America Get Off My Lawn Again

...while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.

-Nate White, on why British people don't like Donald Trump

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

To be honest, as a brit, when he first started running the first time I thought he was a ( literal) joke candidate. Like a US comedian that did absurd characters along the lines of Sacha Baron Cohen.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

As did many of us. It’s still hard to believe those four years were real, but it seems like we’re still recovering from some unfortunate overdose of some drug we still don’t understand

This is the GOP throwing a fit in their death throes. Either take down the country in their fit or their party dies forever. It was fitting they chose this child to throw their tantrum for them

[–] [email protected] 25 points 3 months ago

Holy shit they have nothing

[–] [email protected] 25 points 3 months ago

Geriatric and demented old man angered by the sound of younger people laughing.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

Desperately trying find a footholdto pull her down by. Dumbfuck has absolutely no clue

[–] [email protected] 28 points 3 months ago (2 children)

What kind of hell-scape-reality-tv-show-fuckfest dimension have I entered, when a candidate for the Presidential election is being judged, by a fucking laugh?

A laugh?

This is really bottom of the barrel, petty, childhood shit.

The sad thing is, I know there will be people that don’t vote for Harris her because of her laugh. And for every person that doesn’t turn up to the voting stations and vote because of whatever reason they have… remember that there are people that WILL turn up to the polls and believe your country should be run by a misogynistic, racist, uneducated convicted felon…

but hey… at least he doesn’t laugh.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

judged, by a fucking laugh?

Wouldn't be the first time a candidate was judged by a show of emotion. HYAAAAAHHH!!!!

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

It's on-brand for a group of religious puritans who flog themselves every time they can't marry a 14-year-old.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Normal laugh. Maybe a bit wide and loud which actually comes out as more sencire. I don't get it.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

yeah seeing the laughter compilation they're attacking her with made me like her a little bit actually.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

Debate! Debate!

[–] [email protected] 72 points 3 months ago (9 children)

Out of curiosity, I clicked the “Kamala Harris laughing compilation for 2 minutes straight” Twitter link. Her laugh doesn’t seem particularly objectionable to me, or even unusual. It’s just a woman having a good time. If anything, it made me smile.

What an odd thing to criticize. It says a lot more about him than it does about her.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

They also made fun of AOC for dancing like a normal human being.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

There’s not enough footage to make a video of Trump laughing for two minutes. Man has no sense of humour.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

I feel like they're desperately trying to replicate the Dean Scream to invalidate her.

Problem is, I feel like condensing a quirk into a memeable video nowadays would only accelerate a campaign. Memes are so good at marketing that brands have been trying to harness them for a while.

[–] [email protected] 39 points 3 months ago

I believe the joke here is that he has literally never seen a woman laugh or have a good time in his presence

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago

Thanks for sharing that. Watching it made me happy. Her laugh is fun.

[–] [email protected] 52 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

They're bullies. Like, actual, factual, grade-school bullies.

*Also, here's a non-twitter link for everyone: https://files.catbox.moe/dtcdcr.mp4

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

Thank you for the catbox file! Seriously, she sounds fun and perfectly normal. However, to the repressed conservative, I can understand their scorn. If they can't laugh without going to hell then no one can!

[–] [email protected] 19 points 3 months ago

There's nothing special about her laugh... Republicans must have a very boring life if they never laughed like that...

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He doesn't want her to have a good time, or for her to show she's relatable.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It could very well be as simple as that. He doesn’t necessarily hate her laugh. He hates the fact that she’s happy.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Nah it's just bullying. The way you make someone stop doing something is to make fun of it.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Of course, the perfect reaction would be for her to laugh in his face.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

That's why he's dodging a debate with her. It would be like 2-hours of her laughing through his mic, even with her muted mic, while he flops around like Magicarp trying to answer simple policy questions without resorting to name calling and complaining about being unable to flush documents down a toilet!

[–] [email protected] 26 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Anyone who doesn't find that video endearing has something seriously disturbed going on in their head.

This is the first time I can recall having someone so human and genuine run for the presidency. Obama was close, but he was also so polished and reserved, probably because he felt he needed to be as the first black president. Kamala seems like someone who's really speaking from the heart, and I think that's what America needs most right now.

[–] [email protected] 73 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yes. Keep talking about this, Republicans! This is the perfect thing to show everytime right wingers come up with some stupid slander:

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

Looks like trump is melting.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 3 months ago

Trump is like that villain in the Muppet movie who says "maniacal laugh" because he doesn't know how.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 3 months ago (1 children)

A couple days ago I posted in response to this silly attack on Harris that I cared less about how a person laughs, and more about what a person laughs at. I suggested that Trump would never laugh at anything that didn't involve his own good fortune or someone else's bad luck. That he never laughs is actually worse than that.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Yeah this post has made me realize I've never seen him experience joy except for that clip of him and Epstein
