Though I did read that while changing group membership or finding another group with different beliefs can be big factors in changing people's minds, so can horrible trauma.

I have run out of adjectives and superlatives to describe the depths of idiocy the Right engage in. They re even going on about the eclipse.. What time period is it? 300 CE? I mean, it does say that explicitly in the Bible. In Matthew 24:3-14, Jesus is asked by the disciples what signs there will be of his return, and among other things, he tells them this:
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:7-8)
