Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Donald Trump ripped into Iran and Israel for violating a ceasefire deal within hours of his triumphant announcement.

“You basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f--- they’re doing! Do you understand that?” he told reporters Tuesday morning on his way to the NATO summit in The Hague.

At some point even he has to realize that he's a joke right?

Like even his syphillitic brain can't not see what's right in front of him forever, can it?

To other world leader's he's a joke. Someone who they can stroke his ego to get whatever they want, and then ignore him entirely and do whatever they feel like anyway.

"Israel..don't drop those bombs" Israel had no intention of listening to him. Russia had no intention of listening to him. They make his sense of self importance skyrocket and so they say whatever they need to say to get him to do whatever THEY want him to do, and then don't listen to him the rest of the time.

Is he really this fucking stupid?

The primary reason for the war is done. Israel must choose between ceasing aggression, endless bombardment with no end goal, or deploying ground troops. All but a ceasefire is untenable. Trump is right, somehow. Iran's retaliative aggression will subcede quickly.

You're right, but

retaliative aggression

sounds a lot like defense.

Odd place to note his age? I mean, he's been a dumbfuck for years, nothing new because he's old.

"Mission Accomplished"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago

I'm damn tired of how so many in this country just expect us to go along with this FARCE of a presidency.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

LOL is he an idiot for thinking it mattered if it was dark or am I one for thinking it probably hasn't mattered for at least twenty years? (approx 1:50 timestamp in the embedded video)

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 days ago

I wanna take a moment to appreciate the headline which takes special care to note his advanced age directly. Big "old man yells at cloud" energy.

The Media: "Coming up, more on our top story--Tr*mp's brilliant deal! But first, the latest on Hollywood celebrities who you'll never meet and who don't affect you at all!"

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago

He throws gas on a fire and doesn’t understand why it keeps burning?

It's a word. I'm getting broken down by the amount of censorship on the internet, particularly Youtube. Their guidelines only state to withhold any uncensored cursing or content deemed only suitable for mature audiences for the first fifteen seconds, to avoid being tagged as mature and the video viewcount and profit largely reduced. A very small price to pay for freedom of human expression and life. But channels take this much further than the relatively mild corporation's rules, such as:

  • Censoring or obscuring all expletives deemed by Christianity to be foul
  • Censoring or obscuring all words describing a sensitive subject (e.g. rape, sex, sexual, abuse, murder, suicide, kill)
  • Censoring any moment in which a being is subject to any form of impact, whether accidental, assault or police abuse

These actively block and suppress conversing about real issues, leading to more harm, more assault, and more silent victims. Every time the word suicide is censored signifies to me that another person has committed suicide because they weren't heard. This has been proven to be correlation.

Censorship of human life, experience and expression not only insults my personal ideals of life and freedom, but actually causes more harm, and I cannot forgive that.

What makes swear words so offensive? It’s not their meaning or even their sound. Is language itself a red herring here?

Being Silenced: The Impact of Negative Social Reactions on the Disclosure of Rape

Censorship of words like ‘rape’ and ‘sexual assault’ on social media hurts victims more than it stops bad actors

I'll be honest, I don't mind swearing on social media as I'm an adult but I don't think there's any need to swear in the news media.

Oh Donnie, you poor unfortunate bastard. Why does governing have to be so difficult? Sad face and tiny violin.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (2 children)

They shouldn't be allowed to have the age in the title unless he dropped dead.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago

Why? Age is relevant when it comes to political representation.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 days ago

I'm good with the media constantly reminding people how old he is. He was always dim, and he's getting dimmer.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 days ago

It's a Good Thing he WASNT wearing a Tan Suit while dropping F bombs! THAT would have been Disrespectful!

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Almost like announcing something on "truth" social doesn't automatically make it the truth. They probably didn't even know anything about a cease fire until his post.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago

It's an old grift. If you don't want to actually do something, but you still want credit for doing it, then just say that you're doing it. Many people will be tricked.

It's the same reason the Nazis called themselves "socialists" despite never supporting socialism.

Say whatever you want about him, that man has the best comedic timing
