Lucy Connolly, from Northampton, was jailed for 31 months in October after calling for "mass deportation now" and urging her followers on X to "set fire" to hotels housing asylum seekers.
Sounds like she was inciting violence. Fuck her all the way to her jail cell.
"My wife has paid a very high price for making a mistake and today the court has shown her no mercy," he added.
He went on to say that "the 284 days of separation" had been "very hard, particularly on our 12-year-old girl".
Let's weaponize our child for sympathy. Herp derp.
"My wife Lucy is a good person and not a racist. As a childminder she took care of small children of African and Asian heritage; they loved Lucy as she loved them."
Oh, that's awesome. But wait… Earlier in the article:

So which is it? These people are shitbags.
They are just entitled idiots who don't live in the real world. She literally just tried to use the "but I've got black friends" defence.
It's just baseline casual racism combined with the belief that things said online don't really count. I doubt she would dare be that racist in person, but that doesn't mean she isn't racist, it just means she's in denial. Maybe some court mandated counselling would have been in order.

It is inevitable the conservators will lose seats to reform. The conservatives were seen as having failed to achieve the goal that the people who elected them wanted and reform were offering a new option.
In about 5 years though Reform will have also been seen to have failed, after all they have control of a few councils now so if they're going to achieve anything it should be pretty apparent, I suspect that their votes share will go down.
If anyone gets the chance to hear her Tory councillor husband speak, like if he's on the news trying to defend her, I urge you to take it.
Last time he popped up on Sky I was shocked he could cope with basic tasks like staying upright and blinking his eyes, let alone representing his local area. It was like watching some mould give an interview. 😅
