James McAvoy for me. X-Men first Class, Split, Speak No Evil, even Victor Frankenstein. If MCavoy's name is attached to it, I'm probably going to see it. Charlize Theron is next. Mad Max: Fury road, Monster, and Kubo. Old guard... she acted her heart out, but it was okay in the end. (First post)

Charlize Theron - one of the best actors in the world IMO. If you disagree watch Monster.

I don't watch many movies at all, too fidgety.

But if I see Tim Curry, I'm paying attention.

Shovelface. But after Twilight.

Kek. Agreed.

Jared Harris

He's been in some real stinkers, but chances are if he shows up, you're in for a good time.

Daniel Day Lewis did for so long. Nobody does today really and I go to 2 movies a week and watch 5 at home. I am kind of keeping an eye on and encouraged by Bill Skarsgard, David Dastmalcian, Jack Quade, Michael B Jordan and Lewis Pullman...

Gooood list

There aren't any actors who would pull me in to seeing everything they are in, but Willem Dafoe, Ryan Reynolds, and Nick Offerman are pretty close.

He won't be making any more movies... but Bruce Willis was always an easy draw for me. Most of his movies were easy watching, good times and I never really had to dedicate a lot of bandwidth to to have a good time.

Michael Sheen. A fantastic proud Welshman who gave away his own money so the homeless World Cup could be held in Cardiff, and is now pouring his heart into the national theatre.

I’d love a drink or three with him.

Is that the bloke from Good Omens?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

Pretty sure it is, cause I always think of Charlie and Martin when his name comes up, yes I know not related just sticks due to last name.

Catherine O'Harra, Tilda Swinton, Gary Oldman, John Malkovich, Tom Hanks

Actors who always commit to their roles! It's always a pleasure to see them, especially when you see them go from very serious to comedy in various parts. Tom Hanks was fantastic in the 80s when he was comedy but he seems to do more serious roles since then. Also why Saturday Night Live skits can be awesome when such actors are guest starting.

There aren't too many actors that will pull my interest just based on their involvement. Sam Rockwell, Gary Oldman and Philip Seymour Hoffman (RIP) are the first that come to mind but I'm sure there are more. Does Tom Waites count?

I loved this guy in atomic blonde. I do this more with directors. I'll watch anything by Dennis Villeneuve or Quintin Tarantino

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Villeneuve is my favourite director. I've loved all of his films. I'd watch him film shit crust over.

Same goes for Roger Deakins and anything he touches with his cinematography. If he's involved I know it's going to look beautiful.

Viola Davis, Elizabeth Olsen, Jodie Foster

I'll watch anything with Viola Davis. She tricked me into watching Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. It's a great movie and she played the role really well, but that was a rough movie to watch.
