Uh oh! There must've been a paperclip on the freeway! Perhaps something as large and dangerous as a bottle cap!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

Don't be ridiculous, it obviously crashed into one of the white lines on the freeway, duh..

I'm thinking this is an option you cannot opt out of.

(It's def very unique the way these boxes fall apart compared to any other vehicle tho. Has someone done a tear-down? Like, Jerry from the tubes style?)

WhistlinDiesel on Youtube tore the absolute living fuck out of a cybertruck. My favorite parts were when he broke off the back of the frame attempting to tow an F150, and when just slamming the doors dislodged the interior door sections which then tore off when the doors were re-opened. Just an absolute joke of a vehicle.

I wouldnt be surprised if some of the owners are "accidentally" having "accidents" in order to write them off.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

"Accidents" being a normal carwash etc :D

Lol, yes, exactly what I wanted - to see the thiccn't of the soft frame, and the actual inside of the frame.

Thx!

The more I see, the more I understand just how pathetic the materials and engineering is. Just look at this POS! To see that kinda "blemish", I'd expect massive front end damage.

I have a rusty 2004 F-150 and a not-quite-as-rusty 2002 Eclipse. I couldn't break either one in that manner without wrapping my shit around a telephone pole.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Exactly.
The design is just bad all around. And I'm sure the engineers knew it, it's too obvious.

But in the unrelated interest of sharing my mental pain I'll share with everyone how I pictured someone taking their nice long shit of some consistency and carefully trying to wrap that log around a pole (a bit nervously looking around if anyone is watching). My brain is a fuck, but I don't know any better, never have.

The owner was arrested on terror charges.

It's a useful feature! It's just the Rotation Assistantβ„’ powered by AI!

It knows when your tires need to be rotated and ejects the offending tire immediately forcing you to have to deal with it. You know it's good because we put AI in the description!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

It looks like the AI hallucinated a new axis of rotation and confidently started rotating the tires on that axis

Probably didn't pay the monthly subscription

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Pay annually to get the adhesive that actually works.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

You spelled anally wrong.

I did not get pictures, but I did see a Cybertruck just this morning with a whole discolored section of it on just one side towards the front. On closer look, I realized that they were plastic sheets in place of the metal plating which otherwise covered the rest of the car, presumably replacing metal sheets that had fallen off.

What a joke of a vehicle.

Need a new one of these for mechanical failure.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Is this purchasable anywhere? This would be an amazing gift for a family member.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

you could get window paint and make your own, just frame a pane of glass and draw the outlines, then fill in with solid colours so it looks like a mosaic

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

Oh I think I remember doing something like this as a kid, you start with a special black paint that creates thick lines right? Then you just fill in the colours.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 weeks ago

Only thing I've found even close was on Etsy, but they looked more like refrigerator magnets.

[–] [email protected] 56 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The front fell off πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

That’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 weeks ago

Well how is it un-typical ?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

No, it is. It's by design because it was designed by a idiot.

That upper control arm design is pure insanity

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

I'm no car guy, and certainly no mechanic, but that was the first thing I noticed. Fuck is that?!

Looks like the same scene as here https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/33251226

The newer Toyota truck is parked in the same double white lane marking
