This may not be a bad thing. In the late 80s, 90s when the ability to take on massive debt to obtain a degree became a thing, the cost of education skyrocketed. If most future students cannot go massively into debt, the cost of 4yr degrees should come back to earth.

They will be able to go into massive debt via private loans. The debt will be higher. There will be no way for the govt to forgive the debt.

The collegiate for-profit model is dying. This is just its parasites gorging themselves before the end.
Usually being college or university educated means you make more money and pay more taxes your entire life so why does America make it so difficult to do?
Because in America, they don't want the masses to have an opinion that the masters didn't give them to have. Having you educated by an unrestrained academia is counterproductive to their advancement of doublespeak.
Debt slavery they can turn around and blame you for. College students had to be punished for protesting the Vietnam war
Because every job that doesn't pay minimum wage requires a college degree. So the universities know that you need to pay up if you're looking to stay off the streets in your 20s.

Absolutely. The US has made major advancements in how to inflict pain. In fact, if you're someone who gets certain urges about deconstructing people, you will now find it even easier to let those urges out by joining one of our law enforcement institutions.
