is there a textbook that people like trump read and act accordingly. because its almost as if there is a guide book on being a self absorbed fascist tyrant baby

Yes.

Literally Hitler.

'My New Order', a collection of Hitler's speeches up through 1939.

Trump kept it in his bedside table in the 80s and 90s, according to his then wife.

Did people not know about this or forget this?

Trump literally routinely read Hitler's speeches before he went to bed for years, then got very defensive when asked about it.

Lefties who were politically active during Trump's 2015 campaign were... fairly concerned about this, and basically everyone to the right of them just screamed 'You're just calling him a fascist because everything you don't like is fascist' at us.

Did this whole thing seriously get memory holed this hard that you genuinely didn't know this?

Or are you just younger and/or weren't so politically involved a decade ago?

I know you’re being facetious and asking this from their side, but from our non-Nazi side I highly recommend “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by Shirer which is a great telling of how Hitler rise to power and a study of him and his crew. I’m sure Trump types read these histories to learn and try to pick up where Hitler failed.

My reading of history is that Hitler failed because he was Hitler.

He was a powerful orator, and also a narcissistic man baby, high on his own self importance long before he was high on meth/cocaine/heroin/etc.

He was too paranoid to trust anyone more competent than he was, and he was fucking incompetent.

I could go on, but in short, Hitler was a conman who tapped into that special hatred that some people have in place of their hearts.

Yeah there's a bunch of history books. My mom had a collection of history books on the second world war with accounts of what happened and the atrocities committed.

You just have to take notes in a notebook and call it Project 2025.

there's a playbook, for sure. it's not officially published, but every d-bag like this gets a copy

[–] [email protected] 2 points 13 hours ago

It's officially published. Look up the School of the Americas.

i mean. i guess. it's titled "my daddy never hugged me and kept me away from my mom, whom he may or may not have effectively purchased on account of how incredibly impoverished she was"
