Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Summary

Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA) abruptly canceled a CNN interview after facing intense backlash from constituents at a town hall over mass federal layoffs and spending freezes under Trump.

The cuts, pushed by White House adviser Elon Musk, have sparked public outrage.

On CNN’s The Lead, Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-OR) acknowledged similar criticism from voters and suggested congressional staff cuts could be considered.

I don’t know how those cunts can feel safe walking the streets. We are a meek and feeble populace.

how those cunts can feel safe walking the streets

Wait until the cuts and firings are fully realized by the right wing mental morons. The violent MAGAs will be turning their ire towards their own - it won't be pretty.

I genuinely cannot wait. I'll make bets for when we reach 10 Republican Congresspeople taken out by their maga crazed voter base. I'll even make a fucking toast to it

Hopefully they start feeling less and less safe.

Elon is already concerned it seems, given he carries a meat shield with him everywhere he goes.

Their days are all numbered.

We need these gun cunts that have been preaching 2a their whole lives to stand up and fucking practice what they preach.

I'm not pro 2a, but I'm far more "fuck hypocrites". It further reinforces how absolutely worthless I think a majority of these people are.

Time to buy one yourself.

Be the change you want to see.

I'm just going to wait another 75 years for someone to do my dirty work for me, like the rest of the American populace

Trump is going to declare that 2a is DEI and they’ll all say “yes daddy” and sheepishly give up their guns.

After seeing Jews defend a Nazi salute, anything is possible.
