Another Trumper full of regret.

https://gothamist.com/news/why-many-asian-american-trump-voters-chose-zohran-mamdani-in-nycs-primary

"I liked his policies, mainly his support for education and affordable housing, said Shirley Wong, 70, of Bensonhurst, referring to Mamdani. "He seems to listen to us."

But less than a year ago, Wong cast her ballot for Trump. She cited the influx of migrants in her neighborhood, as well as the cost of living under President Joe Biden. But now, Wong said she regretted voting for Trump, citing the Big Beautiful Bill's projected cuts to Medicaid

Its important to put into perspective that your Democratic party would be considered center-right where I live.

They're not left wing by any means, and that's exactly what you're seeing now with Mamdami being shunned by his own fellow democrats.

Your dual party status quo is precisely designed to avoid having a true left wing. The existence of the Republicans forces you to vote for center-right candidates, meaning you never get the chance to develop truly left wing policies.

Nah, that's fake. The point of the Democrats isn't for the center right party to win. It's for the center right party to lose. Being center right is just a means to the end of losing. Because no matter how right wing they are, they won't be able to do as much damage as the neo Nazi party. And that's what the point is.

They're only shunning Mamdani performatively. It's sin signalling. They're doing it to be hated. They might win New York, and that's an acceptable sacrifice if it helps them lose the rest of the country.

Nah, that's fake

The party is freaking out over a candidate I would call center-left and nobody in my entire country would find abnormal in any election.

Isn't for the center right party to win. It's for the center right party to lose.

The democrats ARE the center right party. You don't have anything to the left of that. Republicans aren't "center right".

Well thank you for agreeing with me.
