Machia voted for Trump, drawn by promises of border control and national security. “We didn’t want drugs or gangbangers,” he said. But what he didn’t expect was losing some of his most dedicated employees to immigration arrests.

“It’s scaring the farming community,” Machia admitted. “We didn’t think they’d come for the people who help us milk cows.”

LOL. Idiots

Thomas county GA voted 61% trump in 2024.

THOMASVILLE, Thomas County, Georgia – Imagine the surprise among Thomasville’s City Fathers when they learned that nearly $20 million in federal grantsfora new health clinic, upgrades to the city’s wastewater system and other community work were deemed too “woke” to merit Washington’s  help.

. . . Ossoff repeatedly asked Zeldin for a direct answer on why Thomasville lost the money. The closest he came were references to environmental justice and such terms as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion which the Trump administration views negatively.

“As I imagine,” Zeldin said, “as we look through the details of the particular program, there must be some aspects of this applying the last Administration’s priorities on environmental justice, or DEI…”

Zeldin said that early in the administration, Trump put out executive orders “as it relates to environmental justice, with regards to DEI.”

The $19.8 [M] rescinded funds were earmarked for:

  • Replacing aging wastewater infrastructure serving approximately half the city
  • Building a new community health clinic
  • Improving homes in underserved neighborhoods

Establishing a community resilience hub to address environmental and public health challenges

. . . Zeldin assured Ossoff that the money will be spent, just not in Thomasville. “We still have to spend the appropriated funding unless something changes with Congress….,” he noted.

Donald Trump may have won the votes of the US’s most farming-dependent counties by an average of 78% in the 2024 election. But the moves made by his administration in the past few months – imposing steep tariffs, immigration policies that target the migrant labor farmers rely on, and canceling a wide range of USDA programs – have left many farmers reeling.

Some farmers, such as Bartman, loudly oppose Trump. “I’ve met some Democrats who’ll say: ‘You farmers deserve this. You voted for him.’ Well, I didn’t vote for the guy. The programs that have been impacted the most are targeted towards farmers that care about the environment.” Others, such as those living near North Carolina farmer Patrick Brown, are experiencing “buyer’s remorse”, said Brown, “but they don’t want to say it because they voted for the current administration”.

No matter who they voted for, farmers across the country are living in the new reality created by the Trump administration’s agricultural policies. The Guardian spoke to four farmers about what it’s like trying to grow crops, feed people, and keep their operations afloat in 2025.

Another "win" for the tariffs... Good luck blaming this one on Biden!

WEIRTON, W.Va. (WTRF) — The future of the proposed transformer manufacturing facility in Weirton is facing uncertainty after union leaders learned that the project is facing major challenges.

Earlier this week, union leaders with the United Steelworkers say they met with company officials with Cleveland-Cliffs to talk about plans for the transformer facility in Weirton.

What they thought was going to be a meeting to discuss bringing back workers to the idle mill turned into unexpected news of an indefinite delay for the project.

United Steelworkers staff representative John Saunders says the reason for the pause in plans is because of financial issues and the uncertainty surrounding tariffs.

He says the change in plans leaves a lot of questions about what’s next.

It was unexpected and devastating; we thought we had the potential to bring back 600 people at Weirton over a period of time, and then we find out it’s indefinitely delayed, so that’s a really tough setback.”

John Saunders – District 1, Staff Representative for United Steelworkers The decision coincided with Cleveland-Cliffs’ release of its first-quarter 2025 results, in which the company announced it would no longer deploy capital toward the Weirton transformer plant.

CJMusic Oct 7, 2023:

Joe Biden is the worst US president in history.

CJMusic Jul 6, 2024:

It would appear that, in light of Biden failing and floundering, the Dems sent their minions out to foment panic about Project 2025. It won't work.

CJMusic May 1, 2025:

I regret voting for Trump.

My husband is laid off and can't find a job and my kids' credit scores have tanked bc of his student loan policy.

This is not what I voted for.

"Emmitsburg Mayor Frank Davis voted for Donald Trump in hopes he would cut federal spending. Now Davis hopes those cuts don't include the permanent cancellation of classes at the National Fire Academy, which is part of the town's identity and helps drive its economy. Davis is also a chief at Emmitsburg's firehouse, known as the Vigilant Hose Company."

Trump killed the Fema training academy. It's not coming back.
