Given the quote is from a Democrat state senator, I am guessing at least part of him agrees.
The level of sheer incompetence is also extremely impressive. Evil populist Trump is getting outcompeted by evil-smoothbrain trump that can't understand anything other than bullet points and sounbdbites:

The sheer enormousness of the utterly arbitrary number has meant they've had to eat so many more faces than is politically prudent, to say nothing of it being fucking awful. The leopards are going to get sick. Assuming we still have actual midterm elections, Stephen Miller and Lauren Loomer are going to ethnically cleanse the republicans out of the majority.
It's odd to me that they're so focused on an arbitrary number but didn't just go ahead and make it an even million.
The reason they are supposed to do 900k in six months is because they wanted to do a million in the first year and like most things that require actual work to achieve they are making no progress. The administration's only real claims to success are illegally cutting funding.
