Community college is a joke. So are all the other types. Most of the stuff they make you do only serves to waste your time and get you used to working long hours on stupid bullshit. That's what employers want them to do. Non-community colleges are like that but worse. In my experience, at community colleges only around 1 in 4 classes is impossible without cheating or being a hyper intelligent academic athlete (but of those 1 in 4 classes, they don't always have very strong anti cheating defenses). At normal colleges its usually even more unfair and unreasonable than that. I'd say only 25% to 50% of them were "unreasonably difficult" except they were extra strategic about it. They'd make it so classes with high fail rates were only taught by the same professor and no one else ever so there was no way you'd ever get around one you couldn't pass at first.

I just want computer parts to stop being so expensive. Remember when gaming was cheap? Pepperidge farm remembers. You used to be able to build a relatively high end pc for less than the average dogshit Walmart laptop.

Honestly, if this somehow results in regulators being like "fuck it, piracy is legal now" it won't negatively impact me in any way..

Corporations have abused copyright law for decades, they've ruined the internet, they've ruined media, they've ruined video games. I want them to lose more than anything else.

The shitty and likely situation is they'll be like "fuck it corporate piracy is legal but individuals doing it is still a crime".

Lots of coffee in the morning and thc at night is the only way for me. I walked away from actual medication years ago because I couldn't afford it anymore.

This makes installing Skyrim mods harder because mods often contain differing versions of folder names. For example one mod might be "Scripts" and the other might be "scripts". This means you can't have Skyrim mods on Linux if you're allergic to copying files manually as this will generally make mod managers not work as well. People on forums like nexus often have a hard time even grasping the concept of not using a mod manager so it's hard to get help of any kind.

I sure am glad I have a computer engineering degree. This will come in handy when I'm homeless living in the woods.

That's why you connect an arduino to the motherboards reset pin and load it with a program where it resets the system if it doesn't receive an ACK signal over the usb connection every 10 minutes.

Eventually though the networking and apache stops working after around 150 days so you also have to make a script that resets the system after 30 minutes of not having network.

That was ~~one of the few~~ the only advantage of living in Texas. It was not difficult to get out of that 1 unpaid hour "break" so I could go home earlier and get paid the same for spending less time at work. Lawmakers pushing for mandated unpaid breaks are helping corporations keep their employees at work longer.

Don't eat lunch. When you finally convince your boss to let you work 8 hour days with no break instead of 9 hour days with an awkward 1 hour unpaid break you can do nothing with, that's 1 hour you can spend on yourself that you didn't have before. Also, now you don't have to waste as much of your spare time exercising (to fight weight gain caused by eating 3 meals a day as an adult) so the time savings are twofold.

What if we switch to electric numbers?

Will the Dakotas ever reunify?

I have a php webpage with a search bar that uses php code to search my server for files. It's really slow. It's a custom made thing I came up with years ago.

Are there any standalone python or c++ projects or libraries I can use that handle file searching? Plugging in a more optimal search function into this system would be a massive improvement but I can't really replace this with a different system because reasons. If the only way to get such a feature is if I program it myself, then I'll have to do that as it will be less work than migrating to a new system. But I'm pretty sure there exists something I could use to manage the search so I can shoehorn that in to the codebase instead of starting from scratch. Any suggestions?

Tl;dr I'm looking for a command line search program that runs on Linux and has some form of indexing.

Am I missing something? The article seems to suggest it works via hidden text characters. Has OpenAI never heard of pasting text into a utf8 notepad before?

If I plant more trees will that block his hacking? What are some quick growing trees?

This is killing me. Videos that are gigabytes in size instead of a couple hundred mb. I don't have the storage space for this. I don't have the bandwidth for this. More and more content creators are using 4k video instead of 1080p. Is there an easy way to make it only download videos in 1080p? I've found a few commands around the internet that don't work, presumably they work on some videos sometimes but that's just not good enough.

I download videos from a custom made web interface connected to yt-dlp so if it's no longer going to be possible to automate the process of video and playlist downloading then everything is going to become a huge pain in the ass.
