Wait does that mean it supports Palestine now?

Rules:
- Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.
Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

Have xAI's real employees considered hiding the password to alter Grok's system prompt, at least while Elon isn't allowed to play with his other favorite toy, the lives of millions of federal employees? Or just setting up a fake interface for him so he can alter a sandboxed Grok instance that's only accessible from his Twitter?
To be fair, this is generally the result whenever a company allows its AI to be trained on unfiltered data from the general public. This is far, FAR from the first time an AI went full racist in record time once it was allowed to start interacting with people.
It reminds me of a conversation I had with another user the other day. If a reservoir contains 99% water and 1% shit, the entire reservoir is still undrinkable. These companies keep allowing people to spill far more than 1% shit into the reservoir and wonder how we still end up with nothing but 100% undrinkable shitwater.
With that said, this result is only exacerbated by the fact that the people who would be interacting with Grok on X are themselves more likely to be anti-semitic due to the political leanings of the site and the ideology that is allowed to openly spread since Musk took over.
It really likes iterating the anti-white racism schtick, too. Elon... We don't hate you because you're white. We hate you because you're an insufferable jackass with zero rizz, talent, or brains and you just keep inserting yourself into things and fucking them up. We'd hate you no matter what color your skin was.
I don't care that he has no rizz, I care that he continually takes credit for other people's accomplishments that he had no hand in, and when he does take an active role, the output of those people becomes actively worse.
But, I suppose you did sum that up in "insufferable jackass"
Should be easy to game it at this point. Have it meaningfully define what it thinks a leftist is and it'll either describe a conservative or outright fascist
Billions of dollars and years of development for grok to reach the same levels of non-sense Microsoft Tay was spewing back in 2016. Elon is truly a visionary. /s
Garbage in, Garbage out.
Grok is proof that you can only trust an AI as well as you trust the people who programmed it.
I mean, in this case it's what it's been fed, which is roughly the internet, which is roughly a giant heap of garbage.
We, collectively, are the programmers, and we fucking suck.
No actually origionally it was fed the internet... and elon was getting fed up with it correctly fact checking him.
IE the genisis of this change was, musk accusing the left of being violent. Followed by someone asking grok whether the left or right had commited was more violent.
Grok responded basically pointing out that there were far more incidents of right wing inspired violence, and the majority of left wing incidents only damaged property.
Musk responded that that is incorrect and he'll fix it.
And now he made the update and explicitly turned grok into a nazi.
I should have said handler I guess
Traning data is curated and continous.
In other words, one (for example, Musk) can finetune the big language model on a small pattern of data (for example, antisemetic content) to 'steer' the LLM's outputs towards that.
You could bias it towards fluffy bunny discussions, then turn around and send it the other direction.
Each round of finetuning does "lobotomize" the model to some extent though, making it forget stuff, overuses common phrases, reducing its ability to generalize, 'erasing' careful anti-reptition tuning and stuff like that. In other words, if Elon is telling his engineers "I don't like these responses. Make the AI less woke, right now," he's basically sabotaging their work. They'd have to start over with the pretrain and sprinkle that data into months(?) of retraining to keep it from dumbing down or going off the rails.
There are ways around this outlined in research papers (and some open source projects), but Big Tech is kinda dumb and 'lazy' since they're so flush with cash, so they don't use them. Shrug.
You miss the point. The programmers control the output to some degree by limiting it or instructing it to prioritize certain information or narratives.
I assume this is where you would hear claims of a lack of conservative views and bias, when really, this is the output that we get. Every time.
It’s not just what it’s fed, it’s also what it’s told to regurgitate.
They hooked it up to Elon's brain!
