Because we didn’t grant you our approval to do so.

shitheel.

silicon valley didn't do anything but make money off the internet.

we, WE, fucking made the internet.

Didn't DARPA and University research and a shitload of public funding technically build the modern world?

A world run by Roblox would mean worldwide child labor, getting paid in company scrip and widespread abuse. That's why you shouldn't run it, asswipe.

Hahaha get the guillotines out.

Roblox is the perfect example of everything that is wrong with capitalism

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

What? What's not to like about child slave-wage labor making tiny games for other children, whilst making the company infinite money all the time? /s

Hot take: Dropping a single nuclear bomb over Silicon Valley would solve most of the world's issues

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

Hot take. No, like actually atom-smashingly hot lol

Odd, because a huge part of the problem is that Silicon Valley is running too much of the modern world. Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google et al run their respective ecosystems as a de facto government. An unelected and undemocratic government.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They're not running it, they're taking giant narcissistic shits all over it.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

The shits are of type running

Yeah, because Roblox is the model we want to shape society after. The fucking hubris is of the charts with these arseholes.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

These are the mfs we need to do something about

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Oh, you mean the guy who invented the thing that works on child labor, takes children’s pocket money and exposes them to predators?

Oof. That doesn't narrow down who we're talking about nearly as much as it should.

You'd really think people would look at the state of the world and try to wash their hands of responsibility, not take credit. Just how out of touch is Mr child exploitation.

It's a small comfort that even Twitter is giving this take the reception it deserves.

I'm pretty sure that if we fed a handful of fascist billionaires to a wood chipper, the rest would be much easier to manage.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (3 children)

If we fed every CEO of a Fortune 500 company into a wood chipper the only effect on the world would be fertilizing some plants.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

I didn't even think they would make a good fertilizer, just shove them in a can and fire them at a black hole, see if that eats them up.

If any Amazon needs to be pulped...

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

We design and build the wood chippers too, so I don't see why we shouldn't.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

i'd pay for tickets to that event.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Free attendance, although you might have to bring binoculars since half the planet would probably show up to cheer

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Judging by the rate at which every commercial piece of technology that exists gets enshitified nowadays, I don't think they should be the ones building the modern world either.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Silicon Valley built the modern world.

Why shouldn't we ruin it?

I think it was a typo. I put the “i” back in.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

Someone ask if those fucks wanna see how much of the modern world was actually built by China? Wanna let them run it instead?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

Arguably, they have ruined it.
