Explanation: As Roman society integrated into the wider Mediterranean with the expansion of their power and borders, so too did their integration of Hellenic mythology increase in their own histories. However, rather than claiming commonality with the filthy Gr*ekoids, by the Roman accounting, their founders Romulus and Remus had Trojan ancestry by the hero Aeneas fleeing the city after Troy's fall to Greek treachery, eventually rooting himself in Italy.
