He’s definitely not going for the redneck vote.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

That's all the rules!

The background check process is a fucking joke and gives a false sense of security. Nearly all of the mass shootings across the US has been with a legally purchased, background checked firearm. It doesn't take into account other factors that can lead to it being used with ill purpose.
Here in Texas I passed one federal background check several years ago, and any other gun purchases since then has been by merely showing my LTC and I walk away with a new firearm.
also it was like his dads gun.
"More" background checks isn't the problem. It's what goes INTO a background check that's the problem.
Example: The kid who shot Trump was kicked off his high school shooting team a) for being an awful shot and b) for making multiple problematic statements inconsistent with the legitimate use of guns in school environment.
It's not clear WHAT those statements were, but likely the typical edge lord comments about shooting up a school or other students.
None of which would be on a background check.
Old story.
You know karma isn’t a thing in the fediverse, right? The only thing you’re doing by posting outdated articles in reaction to current events is confusing less media-literate people.
I'll be honest, I must've missed this one, so I for one don't really mind
That's the whole point.
Why are we posting old stories from April?
Good. This is something that has broad bipartisan support across the whole electorate.
This is an old story
That does not make the decision not-good. Also freshly pertinent in light of recent events, so I understand the reposting.

No, not everyone sees all the news every day. If it gets spammed report it, but this seems fine. Not sure why it would bother you otherwise, unless it is getting spammed. Then that would get annoying for sure. I've only seen it twice now though, that's not bad.
