Just lovely. Despite being a long-time Mint customer (and currently pre-paid for quite some time into the future) I fully expect to get screwed in some substantial way by this.

My husband and I are in the exact same boat. Not looking forward to it sinking. 😥

We really liked them and had prepaid annual for a few years in a row, but last winter I had to use their customer service for the first time and it was one of the worst CS experiences I've ever had. It was bad enough to leave their service completely when our year was up.

Any idea if this will effect Simple Mobile? I know a lot of these bargain carriers are the same product with a different wrapper.

Can you squat him? If not, it's time to hit the gym.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago (1 children)

What?! What does Ryan think about this?!

[–] [email protected] 18 points 6 months ago

I think he likes getting paid.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Ryan is such a sellout, fuck you Ryan.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago

I think upload got it right, and it'd actually be something like TacoBell-Nvidia

You're definitely not wrong, that show and Idiocracy also have some pretty dystopian alternatives.

Would you like some EXTRA BIGASS FRIES?

You are an unfit mother. Please surrender your children to CarlsJr.

You're the first fan of that show I've seen in the wild. lol. Love that show.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Well I'm glad a few people understand. Haven't really seen others talking about it randomly either.

FTC asleep at the wheel again. We need more competition, not less.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago

I agree with you but to be fair Mint Mobile sucks, worst phone service I've ever used.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I agree with you, but MVNOs are not competition.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

MVNOs are not competition.

Given the hundreds of billions it would cost for an actual competitor to build out their own infrastructure, it's likely the most we can realistically expect.

What? Are you not excited about only having to consume your products from 3 different entities?! It'll save you tons of time! /s

Cries in Canadian telecom monopoly. 😭

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Hey no worries. My landlord has a specific agreement that guarantees we have to choose either the one true service provider or nothing for our services.

In exchange, the landlord company gets kickbacks, and when your landlord is richer, everyone is happier.
