It was a phone call. That's literally it. I spent months procrastinating making a phone call that ended up being short and virtually painless.

I'm procrastinating a very easy task as well. I've been putting it off because I am sick. It'll take like 5 mins and I just can't get myself to do it.

Congratulations!

Same here, dude. I'm proud of us.

Congrats, OP. We all know the very real problem that is. I have several of those waiting to get done, some are even things I want to do! You've earned a cookie.

Hell yeah OP!!!! You fuckin rock! I bet you're gonna sleep like a gd baby tonight!! (I know I always rest better after finally getting that thing I've been putting off done.)

Here's a somewhat related comic for your viewing pleasure (but mostly for my sharing pleasure tbh)

My credit card has been auto-pay since I got it. I lost my phone and changed my number like a year ago. Most things I was forced to call up/fix the 2FA to point to my new number, but not that.. until about 2 weeks ago when it said that the set payment was less than the minimum payment.

I finally called them up about 2 days ago, assuming it would take at least a half hour. It was like 3 minutes dealing with the stupid phone menu, and then like 5 minutes talking to a really pleasant guy.

After close to a year, I finally have access to my credit card account haha.

Shit. I still haven't made that call.

Maybe tomorrow...

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Just do it sometime before this meme is released again. You've got about twelve hours.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

Yeah, it can wait. No need to rush.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

Time management? It sounds more like avoidance of a task that you have anxiety about, which is a very typical behavior of ADHD.

Oh man,that dopamine rush!

[–] [email protected] 34 points 9 months ago (2 children)

I feel relieved but no sense of accomplishment :/

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

Ride the success and just do other bullshit stuff you've put off too - seriously tho, good job on making the call. I feel your pain

[–] [email protected] 14 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Like when I got my truck inspected and registration renewed on the last possible day

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I just got my tax return done on the last possible day!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

I think mine was submitted like a day or two after the deadline.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago (2 children)

There was a while there that I was getting my car inspected right on schedule EVERY 2 years.

My state has annual inspections.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago (2 children)

I rarely ever say this but thanks Michigan, for making me forget car inspections are a thing

Also red light cameras and speed cameras and other camera traffic enforcement, illegal here

Don’t be too jealous though everything else inspired by the car companies’ influence is shite

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

I remember dealing with Michigan as an insurance agent and man I do not envy you guys' auto insurance premiums :/

True! I’m so glad I discovered a dispo that has 1G live resin vape carts for $11 (!) before tax. And this is rec! Wish I still had my medcard so I wouldn’t have to pay the sin tax lol

[–] [email protected] 10 points 9 months ago (1 children)

In Virginia, there are only 3 colors for inspection stickers. I figure if you dodge cops for two full years expired you earned that free matching color year.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

California had a new color seemingly every year, my buddy took 7 years to get pulled over. He's a rich fuck too, no idea why he didn't pay his registration.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

Ride that high for the rest of the day!

[–] [email protected] 49 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Fucking congrats fella!!!

I'm trying to do at least twenty... Ten... At least ten minutes of work each hour.

But I don't dare make any of the phone calls or emails I'm supposed to be doing, that shits too daunting.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I am very present on Teams helping wherever I can. But I have done almost none of the documentation or project analysis I should have

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

The worst thing about having a massive workload is I'll likely never get through all the tasks in time.

The best is thing is when I'm in a constant sprint from one task to the next, it's easier to lie to myself and say "I can't do the documentation now, but I'll get to it later when it's quiet"

But it never gets quiet anymore.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

Yeah and we just merged, so I'm probably fucked lol.
