/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Rewatch recency bias places my vote toward TOS s3e1 "Spock's Brain"

Lower image from Galaxy Trek, er, Star Quest... um, something like that.

TOS, The Empath. I fuckin' loathe that episode.

Ah, yes. The proto "Chain of Command" silliness.

[Insert witty retort, using recycled Star Trek meme format]

Randomized meme picker... GO!

I’d nominate Shades of Gray, but it was hardly written at all, it was mostly recycled clips of other episodes.

The writer's strike of that time claimed a lot of victims.

That one was a budget shortfall actually.

"Gentlemen, I give you... Spock's Brain Two!"

He's 8 months along, don't judge.

I completely forgot that the episode was so bad that they did it again, and it was still bad.

My vote goes to “These Are the Voyages…” – Enterprise S4E22

TNG S01E04: "Code of Honor"

Not their finest hour. Season 1 was rough at times.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

Spock's Brain is fully "so bad its good" for me. But there's no saving Code of Honor.

I'd still watch CoH over Nemesis though.

The original script only mentions one Black person. The Ligonian were described as resembling lizards. This wasn’t the fault of the writer Katharyn Powers or Michael Baron.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

I wonder if that was one of the recycled "Phase 2" scripts.

"Turnabout Intruder" aged pretty poorly 😬

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

"Catspaw". I will fight you all on this hill. Spock's Brain led to some good parodies. Ref: Mike Carano directed a live show adaptation in LA that elevates the cheese. Glory to the House of Carano.

My vote is for Voyager - Tattoo:

Or maybe The Fight. That one sucks too.

Anything involving that "cultural consultant" qualifies.
