Wondering why the bloke needed a huge puffy jacket. He's either a George Costanza wannabee or it was very cold where they shot the video.

I don't know - the arc shot with the zoom (when the three robots were on stage) looked much too smooth, and suspiciously computer-generated.

Here’s a Piped link to the video in the article:

All races are a race against time, that's how races work

Most races are not against time though... They're against other competitors. The time it takes you is pretty irrelevant, as long as the others are slower.

It's more or less only time trials that are races against time.

I'm not sure, if you're racing me in a 100m sprint and you do it in 15 seconds, that's pretty useless information depending on whether I'm at the 90m mark or beyond the finish at that point, so it's primarily a race against the speed I travelled at

The robot runs like it misjudged a fart after a meal at a Vegas buffet.

I don't know why, but the "real filmed video" just makes me question it more.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

How else do you know the filmed is real?

Hips that make a Pixar mom jealous.

They look so fucking stupid I can't imagine them ever being worth the resources wasted on development.

seems like the profanity filter messed up the link.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago

Lol you should move to an instance that doesn't treat you like a child, and has admins that aren't too dumb to know about the Penistone problem.

There's a profanity filter?

“FAg” is part of the hash in the URL.

That’s censorship for you.
